AMPL will be a top 5 MC by EOY 2021. Screenshot this.
I don't see much going below this price. Demand is too good. There is a lot to gain from holding. Every hour the ETH in the Uniswap LP is rising. This thing has good momentum and is growing stronger and stronger each day. At this rate, it won't be long till everyone in Crypto knows about AMPL, and if you don't, you'll be considered a total moron. My prediction is we actually go up in price over the next 12-18 hours. There simply aren't enough sellers to offset the hype. Get in as soon as you can. The crypto world is still not awakened to this just yet. When they do wake up, there will be a massive injection of capital, sending this thing flying. It will get so big that it could quite possibly take over a 1 year before we go under $1.10, and market cap could be multi billions by then. Basically, if I were you, I wouldn't risk missing out.
Where is best place to buy?
>>20182841Still don't get this ampleforth / geyser thing. Can someone please spoonfeed me
>>20189871uniswap
>>20190008I don’t get it either...
>>20190632>>20190008you can put ETH/AMPL uiswap pool tokens inside the geyser, and you will get bonus AMPL base on how much you put in, and for how long. So if you put ETH & AMPL in uniswap, you get uniswap fes, rebase bonus and if you put the uniswap tokens inside the geyser you get bonus AMPLE on top of that. Only downside of using uniswap is arguably that some rebase aMPL will always be converted t ETH so that's bad if you want to go full AMPL (but dollar value wise, still a killer)
>>20190673Is this worth it with say only $100? Poor student here.
>>20190767hmm especially if you'd have to switch half to ETH the gains will probably be low. If I'd have to roll AMPL with $100 only I'd just get AMPL fast, earlier the better, hope for at least one or two weeks of goof rebases and then split into ETH AMPL for pool
So if price target is $1 then why the fuck should i buy this at $1.95 right now? Please spoonfeed me
I have some on KuCoin and Uniswap. Wtf do I do now?Should I just hold this?
>>20190976Because its wont go back to $1 for a long long time because the compound interest with geyser/rebasing is just too damn good. Not enough sell pressure.
>>20191001so how do i get this compound interest?
>>20190976>spoonfeedinvest $1000 into ampl now. get 500 amplafter rebases wind up with 5000 ampl worth $1 each when it stabilizes tldr. stop thinking in terms of price. think of percentage of marketcap
>>20191042Ok, but how do I receive that? What do I need to do to receive the rebase?
>>20191016everyday its about 1.05 it pays 1/10 of overage as positive rebase.price is 2, then (2-1)/10 = 10% rebase
>>20191073everyday its *above*also its automatic in your wallet
>>20190767If a nigga holds it for no less than 4 years it’ll be worth it.
>>20191016You purchase an equal amount of ETH/AMPL on uniswap then pool it for WAMPL (wrapped ample), then you go to geyser on Ampleforth website then deposit into liquidity pool. It took me a while to figure out, looked on youtube but its not too difficult but involves use of metamask. There are some youtube tutorials. It's literally the definition of silently mooning, 5-10% daily returns as long as price is above 1 dollar. Keeping price from mooning so under the radar to normies but the protocol keeps your stack growing relative to the circulating supply.
>>20191093Is an exchange wallet ok or something like metamask/coinbase wallet?
>>20182841Holy fuck i'm starting to get it
So I need to buy some AMPL put it into Metamask, have some ETH in the same wallet then I can go on Uniswap and join the pool? I currently have ETH in my wallet trying to do Uniswap its telling me I dont have a balance.
So is what you make in rewards a flat rate based off of the amount you put in? Or are you rewards based off the percentage you make up of the pool?
>>20191042It says there's 74.5 days left in the program duration. Is that when your 500 ampl then totals to 5000?
>>20191066All you need to to is hold ampl in your wallet to get rebases. That's it.
>>20191735What is the ampleforth geyser where you need to deposit wrapped ampl/eth for then?
>>20191780That's a liquidity incentive from the AMPL devs that can offer you more AMPL if you deposit the wrapped AMPL into their pool. It rewards you more the longer you hold, there are 74 days left but the devs said they are most likely going to extend it. Your AMPL continues to rebase in the geyser so double bonus.
I added some liquidity on Uniswap now its stuck on Pending for 10 minutes.. is this normal? I did a small amount.
>>20191926Screen shot? Did you transaction go through or not
>>20191864I have 10k to throw at this thing, but the MC has already grown by a huge amount. Would I be at the bottom of the totem pole on this? and what's the risks of doing this? sorry i'm stupid
>>20191926how much gas?>>20192078not late, but not early to the party. reddit/normies/twitter have not caught on
>>20192078I dont think you are late, I still think you are still very early.
>>20191864doing that though, you'd need to split up half of your amp into eth. Would you earn more amp that way versus just holding 100% amp?
>>20192331Yes but geyser incentivizes holding by increasing rewards incrementally over time. So rewards end up being greater in the long run unless you plan on not holding and selling in the near term. In that case you are better off holding AMPL in your wallet outside of geyser for larger rebase returns.
>>20192392the site says 3x rewards if you deposit for two months. Does make all of you rewards 3x? Or just the rewards you start earning after two months?
>>20192625No, it applies to your new rewards as time goes on. For example I've been in the geyser for about 3 days and I'm at a 1.1x multiplier now
>tfw my ampl stack is over 9000
So can I just leave this in my Coinbase wallet and receive AMPL on a regular basis automatically?
>>20192392would suck his dick
>>20192932Yes technically you can, its all done automatically 11PM EST time of rebase. Geyser is optional.
>>20192974Correction 10pm EST and you can lose AMPL if price drops below .95. It's not just gains, loses theoretically possible.
Still early but price is holding at $2, could see another 10% rebase tonight,
>>20189871Also Kucoin if you're looking for a CEX
>>20193002Am understanding right in that the true value of what you hold is in relation to the MC? So while you may lose ampls, what you own as a % of the MC stays the same?

>>20193245Correct, check this out: https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/ampleforthIf you were looking at the price chart it wouldn't look too impressive, but if you flip to the MC chart it's just steadily increasing.

>>20195026>>20195149Let me break it down for you and everyone else, since you all are unable to put this in plain English. Every day, the supply is updated to move the current price 10% closer to $1. This means that the coin cannot guarantee a $1 at any given time. This means it is not a stablecoin. This means the coin has no purpose anymore than any other coin.Furthermore, the hype you're hoping for isn't limitless. Any random shitcoin can have a hype pump. But you're buying one with an underlying function that intentionally and directly opposes this pump. This means as soon as the hype runs out, it is guaranteed to fall, whereas any other purposeless shitcoin has more ability to maintain its pumped price. And finally, (I haven't check the whitepaper on this but) the only way for the network to have knowledge of its price would be to have some exchange/trade knowledge. This means it's almost certainly connected to some centralized interface. This means it is indeed not even decentralized. This coin is has even less purpose as a cryptocurrency than Paypal dollars, which are always redeemable for $1.Keep posting in this thread, I don't give a fuck. I'm out.

Ok, Im going to try and explain the genius behind this coin for everyone. For one moment put down your preconceived notions and just read, think and understand.1. Growing economies need inflation.2. The US had to get off of the gold standard because its economy was growing at a rate a gold back dollar was no longer feasible.3. Now the FED generates new capital and distills it to banks to lend out.Lets look at crypto world.1. The crypto world is still in its infancy but it is growing. It is a growing economy.2. We have seen the implementation of stable coins because of their use, etc.3. However there is a problem. The growing crypto economy is going to very very soon out grow the stable coins. WHY? Because they have to be backed.4. The crypto economy is going to desperately need INFLATION very soon. However it currently CANNOT reliably create inflation since stable coins are backed.Insert the genius of AMPL.Because it works way back to $1 it provides some level stability of value without having to be backed by other assets. Its value is trust in the contract just like the USD is now. Trust in the US Gov. Its supply can increase to create liquidity/inflation into the growing crypto economy. Simply put AMPL = FED. However in this case unlike the FED which is privately owned AMPL is publicly owned and the "printing" goes to the owners instead of the bankers.

>>20195694Further. Exactly the same dynamic of Gold/Fiat in real world will be relationship of BTC/AMPL BTC will continue to raise in price as more people buy in. Whereas AMPL will further consolidate towards 1.0 as more people buy in. These two tendencies will reinforce and prove to be complimentary. This relationship will be fully realized once defi around ampl is built-out (coming) and you are allowed to use wbtc/renbtc as collateral to mint ampl (in exactly the same way gold was used as the collateral behind fiat from 1913-1971). So is now a good time to buy given that we are at $2? Shouldn't we expect the price to come down sooner or later? If I buy at $2 and the price moves to $1, will the rebase be enough to 'cover' the value lost?

>>20197233Here's the thing; there's not much buy pressure, because people don't like parting with their highest yielding asset. Since there's a shit load of liquidity for this coin (pushing 6 mil liquidity), the price isn't likely to slip much. Even holders with decent percentage of the coin don't have enough capital to dump this to hell.MUCH more likely scenario: this creates FOMO like we've never seen when word spreads and rebases are actually going UP, and the coin is going further from peg, that's when people will FOMO the hardest

>>20196529what's the problem with throwing a couple thousand bucks at this chief?
>>20198049It's just the early stage growth of the coin. Of course it won't be 10% forever, but by the time we see 1% daily rebase (which is still amazing btw), all holders will be rock hard, because they have already gone 100x, so a 1% rebase is as much as their initial investment.
>>20198049You are right. Its a ponzi scheme. Not sure why people are investing in it. This post should be archived right away
>>20198194The tokenomics here encourage massive pumps and epic dumps. As demand rises and price goes up your bags fill. Soon as demand falls your bags get smaller and smaller as the price goes down.
>>20197616Rebase can also dump you into obvlivion. Imagine the price dropping 10% along with 10% of your stack. This is literally a the perfect PnD coin.

>>20198571AMPL/ETH uniswap liquidity pool has almost $6 million in it, it's a top pool (far and away best ROI, and that's not including geyser rewards). That means to even move this down to $2, it would need to have over $50k worth of sells. Hardly anyone has that. Everyone who holds the coin each day is making 10% daily, they won't be panic selling their whole position... much more likely people will take profit over time
>>20198549>>20198623>>20198706ah okay I added it to the geyser on the ampl website, thanks! So if I want to pull out of this ponzi I need to withdraw from geyser then swap ampl for eth and I'm fine right?
>>20198571Once you're in there is no incentive to dump. We're all enjoying 10% interest. Daily. already number one on uniswap liquidity. This thing is a fucking rocket ship. I have no doubt that they'll make major inroads into DeFi if they can maintain liquidity like this!
>>20199164Some point yes, but not until the geyser rewards are realized and the mcap has stabilized. Until then you'd just be shooting yourself in the foot to dump. And even then it would have to dump over 50% before negative rebases... and fomo hasn't even started

I just fomoed in because of this thread, prepare for the dump
>>20199276Nope. I am not dumping. I am worried that folks who don't get it will sell. I completely understand the dynamics of how this coin will behave. If whales like me will dump, then we kill the golden goose. For myself and for everyone else. I don't want that. I am sure other high iq traders are like that as well. Now imagine there is some kind of random FUD two days later - what will low iq fags do? They will sell. And others will have no choice but to sell. These sellers can keep the price below $1 - killing the coin for everyone. If you believe in AMPL - stop shilling. And no, it will never replace central banks. That's just crazy.

For the noobs who are new to PND shitcoins:1. watch volume (we are down from 11 million to 2 million, so peak fomo has occurred already for this local timeframe)2. dont believe ridiculous fomo-inducing sales pitches like it replaces central banks and there arent many big holders - both lies3. set reasonable take profit areas and be happy you made any money in shitcoin roulettei dont know when ill sell but this is not something i want to hold the bag on. the closer it gets to 0.95 (and will eventually when supply outpaces demand as its designed to) panic will ensue nobody wants to "lose" tokens even if their market share remains staticviolent pumps into violent dumps but they are always the best games (if ur early :^) )

>>20204683Please elaborate how.
>>20204683It doesnt. They actually can work together in pure harmony.
>>20199885Based
How is adjusting the marketcap different from adjusting the price? AMPL to me looks like a version of bitcoin that has a fixed price for a day and the "reprices" at a different price based on how many people bought or sold. Why would I want a stable coin that can turn my $100 into 90$? That's the opposite of stable. I'm not trying to fud but I seriously don't understand the hype. Please someone tell me where I'm wrong with my assumption.
>>20206060It is like bitcoin but it has a price around the same. So you can write a smart contract that says “pay me 300 AMPL” and the value will be the same. It is like MKR but much more efficiently implemented.
>>20206126Ok that's a good usecase actually. That doesn't really give me the incentive to own the token though.
>>20206060If you own 1% at 10M marketcap you'd own 1% at 100M marketcap. It's not like more AMPL are minted and the total gets diluted. Everyones wallets fluctuate accordingly. So again, if you buy 1% of the marketcap at 3$ when it's 10M you won't care if AMPL price is 1$ when the marketcap is 100M. Your money will still be x10'd
>>20206167Incentive is obvious. The market cap is low as fuck. The market cap should be the size of bitcoin if it can be used more efficiently than bitcoin.
