no matter what happens past today im always going to hate brave and BAT. they released the coins way too early, haven't made the progress they promised at all, and completely failed to take advantage of this whole ad debacle. they are a competitor to billion dollar companies but havent delivered the products that they planned, they're still fucking around trying to get monthly payments done right, and have barely done any serious advertising. the COMP shit was embarrassing. im a fool for ever thinking anybody could take on the media in an oligarchy. best to invest in the number movers because that's apparently where all wealth comes from; fucking accounting, not content creating.

This has some truth to it, especially the part about not taking advantage of the online advertising debacle, but I think you're being way too negative.

Changing the entire online advertising industry was never going to be a quick or painless task. It's a huge fucking job and it's not going to happen in a day or year, maybe in a decade. I still believe in the project but it almost seems like they need to bring in more talent - if they're going to change something as massive as online advertising, they need to start a movement. Brendan Eich seems more focused on the bigger picture and mostly involved with improving Brave rather than promoting/improving BAT's utility case. Kind of hurts to see BAT get thrown to the wayside in that way, it has so much fucking potential.

which would allow certain people to become validation nodes for attribution and they would be rewarded in BAT. Theres also things like VPN0 which is rarely mentioned that might reward nodes in BAT. Then theres all the other things like BAT for payment through the SKU which is already finished.

Their main focus right now is not user growth or expanding utility. Their primary focus is making sure the browser and ad platform are rock solid. You don't spend millions of dollars pushing your product full speed ahead when advertisers have to go through a phone bank to place an order and users are having issues with payments.

Braves github is extremely active and they are working around the clock to build something massive. They have delivered every single time before, why would this time be any different while they are already on third base?

Its definitely odd. Over 10% growth month over month and its largely ignored. Honey was acquired by paypal for $4B at 20m users. Brave is sitting at 16m and growing much quicker with a lower CAC and each user is worth a much higher lifetime value.

Theres tokens right now pulling 2x-3x but its just noise. When BAT starts moving it will dwarf almost everything. I watched people move their ETH into Dash back in the day because "ETH is boring and going nowhere"

I hope im understanding this correctly but this is basically how it works. Take a company like google. An advertiser gives google a ton of money for a campaign, and google serves their ad. Google reports to the advertiser how many times their ad was clicked and sends them a bill. This is all handled through their servers.

With themis there would be third party nodes that verify whether or not an ad was interacted with rather than going through braves servers and determining whether or not an ad was served and if it was a genuine impression or not.

Basically it further decentralizes the attribution part of advertising so there is less ad fraud.
