Betting against Tech is Pascal's Wager.
It goes down it takes everything else down with it. Everything would unironically be back to 2009-2010 levels. The reverse has (so far) not been true in the slightest.
The electric vehicle tulip mania is driven by pump and dumps, shorts, and FOMO but insulated against reason because "its tech". Same with really niche tickers like BYND.
>>20134743
Indexes are "self-cleansing" and remove a lot of the potential for human error caused by emotion or short sightedness. The large cap indexes just compound rewarding winners. All rallies after bear markets in history have started with small caps. Infinite QE has caused the reverse. The big boys get even more money and cushioning relative to mid or small caps both directly (bond purchases) and indirectly (qualify for more Gibbs that they dump into buybacks).

Aaaaaaaaaa.

Need to sell some useless stocks to jump in on stocks i want but because of all these people pumping them im probably gonna have to buy high!!!

Worst part is i was on one of the well doing stocks only to be fudded out by 4chan....only for 4chan to jump on it a few days later!!!! Aaaaaaaaa next time ill just secretely accumulate it and let it rise on its own merit without giving away my hidden gem like last time!!! This freaking blows my cost basis was low and i let myself get fudded out on a stock that ended up going high

This always sounds to me like the "investors" who do not beat the index are retarded boomers who buy 1 stock and 1 stock only, as well as "managed funds" which are just the underlying index but with a higher fee.

GDX for example is beating the SP500 so far this year, smart investors would have known this in advance and positioned themselves accordingly. Another good example is the Euro Pacific value fund, which is the same value stocks as most funds but substitutes bank stocks with gold miner stocks. It used to be the worst in its category, but just since march it is now the best in its category on everything from year-to-date to 5 year.

Solar doesn't make sense for most climates unless you have sun everyday like California. Nuclear/hydro have much more potential.
For houses connected to the grid, it does not make financial sense to get solar either. If new houses were to are built without the grid and electricity is independent, it may be cheaper to have solar when you take out the cost of building/maintaining utilities.

Premarket open! It's all green. Airlines, cruises, Tesla, Uber, and Boeing all well green on plenty of early volume. Nothing notable on red side yet. Gonna be a big gap up open if futures hadn't already made that obvious by now.

It will give you something to do, most of the time you are not going to have to use a supercharger, just only on read trips for the most part, so not very often. EVs are great for commuting to work and locally imo, the battery tech just needs to catch up, once EVs are 20k new it wouldn't make much sense to buy gasoline powered cars.

Professional manager here. The reason why pros underperform is the clients they serve. Clients pretend like they want absolute end result returns. But they actually don’t.....if the investment goes down too much or if it goes down too fast or if it sits around and doesn’t make money for a long period of time, they get unhappy and want to sell it. Client are sheep larping as chads and professional managers try to accommodate them to win business.

This goes for just about every client regardless of their sophistication and what they say. Even investment committees at institutions aren’t immune to this effect.

Source- a professional manager who has amazing personal returns but averages sub-index returns for clients.
