one thing I think people forget is there are tons of proven silver deposits all across the world that are not being exploited because the price of silver is so low. If and when the price spikes these mines are going to start coming back online preventing the silver price from reaching the astronomical levels some of you guys seem to expect. I think $60 is a reasonable expectation and it might even spike up to the $100 range for a shortish period before stabilizing.

Precious metals are kind of a paradox. If you want to control demand for them, letting the price explode is not the way to do it as a mooning price only causes normie momentum traders to flood the market and start buying. Likewise, while smashing the price down does scare off the normies into momentum, it will just cause the autistic stackers like me who can't be scared out of the market to buy even more than they normally would. Hence a crab is the best way to try and control physical demand with a slow orderly retreat to higher prices.

Right now I'm early into my stacking journey, but when I get to that point where I have my stack and the ratio gets lower there's some stuff I'll wanna keep, some junk silver bags, some ASEs, maybe a couple other things, probably like ~100 oz or so, but the rest of whatever I get past that I'll probably trade around 40-50:1, I don't think the ratio will ever hit 16:1 again, but the lowest I could see it hitting is like 25:1 or something, even then I just can't see silver being high without gold being higher, they usually rise at similar times so it's not like silvers ever gonna shoot independent of gold imo.

Personally I think here in America we are going to a constitutional bimetal Redeemable monetary system, the UK may or may not beat us to it, and by my shitty fly by the seat of my pants calculations gold would have to be somewhere in the range of 50k+ an oz and silver 5-12k an oz to make a smooth transition without prices and wages being fucked with too too much and the government being able to hold a decent reserve. 90k+ and 10-25k respectively if they want to hold the king dick reserve like they have been.

EVery single aspect of the US financial system would have to change for a redeemable currency to exist. As a commercial banker, I dont see how it could be done without eviscerating evry single bank and hedge fund in the country. Too much special interest at the legislative and congressional levels. We would need a hard reset for that to ever happen.
