NOOOOOOOOO TAKE DOWN THAT RACIST WHITE SUPREMACIST IMAGERY RIGHT NOW!!!!

>> No.20127727

>5 gram coin
>75% copper
>so 3.75 grams of copper
>1 lb of copper = $2.73
>1 lb = 453.592 g
>$2.73 / 453.592 = $0.006 per gram of copper
>$0.006 * 3.75 g of copper = $0.0225
>1 nickel = $0.05
So the price of copper needs to go up a little more than 2x for the value of the copper to be worth the same as the face value of the nickel. Bros I would save your nickels for when hyperinflation hits, that way the worthless nickels could be mass-salvaged for some quick BJs

The Nickel hasn't had it's composition altered for close to 150 years except during the Copper Shortages of WWII. It's definitely worth indiscriminately hoarding Nickels if the copper price doubles.

The bullion value of the Jefferson nickel is currently 4 cents according to coin inflation. Nickel and Copper need only to increase 50% in price for the nickel coin to be worth exactly 5 cents.
