The more money I have, the more I feel like ostentatious symbols of wealth disgust me. In the past I would have thought if I had X amount of money I would put some towards an expensive watch or a nice car, but now that I can afford it, I'm not even thinking twice about that shit. It's not like I hate money but when normies talk about dropping money on designer goods and flashy things I just feel sickened. Is there something wrong with me?

I don't think so. Actually, I like you for it.

Figuring out how to make more money for yourself required you to have wisdom and prudence and that allowed you to improve your wisdom and maturity in proportion to the money you've gained. You're a good man.

rich people don't buy designer brands because they like them (even though they are nice), they do it to display power to the plebs. It's money well spent if you think about it like that.

>> No.20115462

>>20115347
True but I don't even want that. I don't need to display power over anybody, I know what I am worth. If I wanted a watch nothing is stopping me from getting an expensive one, but I don't feel like those expensive things are worth the money I'm paying for them. People only buy them to convince themselves and others that they are worth something. I don't care if your watch is crafted by 20 blind swiss artisans using only their teeth.

All of that stuff is bullshit to me and I'm not rich. Realizing that's all fake is learned before, not after getting rich.

Yes, the more you accumulate wealth the more vivid the image of a dragon sleeping atop its mountains of gold becomes.
This is why most old money drives normal cars and dress classy, and the young money niggers and white trash are the ones blowing cash on lambos and disgusting glass walled mansions.

They absolutely do. But they usually buy the subtle, more expensive items which are not as conspicious. I used to work for a luxury fashion house and it was only really the cheap merchandise that had the tacky logos on it. The branding on the higher end clothing is often extremely subtle.

i just wanna be rich so i can look down on other cocky rich people. i get the feeling that the ones who judge their personal value by their wealth are REALLY insecure about it. i just picture a super cocky prick decked out in rich consumer products, rolling up to apply for a position at my business and laughing at me while i mop the floor, only to find out im the fucking ceo. and then i pee on him before he leaves.

I don't agree with that statement, I've lived life as a poor person before. Being poor is a state of mind, and I don't fucking mean all that youtube entrepreneur bullshit, you are constantly stressed out because you need money to get money and save money, but you don't have shit. Being poor long enough literally fucks up your mind. There are lots of people who are worth millions but used to be poor, their way of life is still fucked up, they are the hoarders and misers and shitty business owners.

You’ve simply reached financial nirvana, OP. Wealth building is supposed to be a continuous process. Poorfags think they need to reach a certain number to “make it”, so they can start spending like crazy. Real wealth is sustained by building a money printing engine that keeps snowballing itself to eternity. It’s called the 8th wonder of the world for a reason. NPCs with their new iPhones, lambo lusting, and name brand clothes are just showing off their financial illiteracy, and they were never going to make it

Old money vs new money
Old money doesn't show of their wealth. They have probably a nice vacay home in Europe but everything outside about them looks middle class.

Buy a watch if you like it, I have a way-too-flashy two tone Rolex (inherited) and and I literally never get a single comment on it. People don't care.

You've stopped being greedy for the sake of what money can buy and instead became greedy for money for its own sake.

He is right anon, you do not have to buy flashy things, Warren Buffet is the best example, however secure your wealth, paper or made up numbers without proof of work is not money and will inevitably return to its true value, which is near zero, for paper its BTU.
