Me too, anon, me too. Any remaining doubt got blown away by that Chainlink blog post. I think we're just in a high volume of Uniswap scams at the moment so the signal/noise ratio is fucked, but it still blows me away that there aren't at least a few threads in the catalog at any time.

Swapped my dmg and aave for it after the thread on Thursday i think, just made too much sense not to jump on board with my meager stack.

Are people going to try and "sell the news" swing for v2 launch or hold tight?
I predict some dump or attempted dump about a week before launch as early buyers take profits, but I already fucked myself out of 2k BNT by attempting to swing before, so at this point I think I'll just hold on for dear life.

I bought the "top" when it was $0.90. Market cap is much more important than charts, it doesn't matter that people got in cheaper than you if it's still cheap as fuck.
If the v2 solution brings institutional money to liquidity provision then getting in at $100m cap is a bargain no matter how you look at it.

>>20100143
V2 sounds really good but it's already x10 and it's probably gonna dump on release, potential hacks are also a real issue, too much risk to buy now... Probably gonna regret not buying because it does sound exciting

>> No.20100597

>>20100569
>it's already x10
this only matters if it's a shitcoin pnd. If it's a project with legitimate potential then it doesn't matter what the bottom was. It would be like not buying $14 ETH or $1 LINK because people got in 10x cheaper than you. It doesn't matter in the long run at all.

Why would institutional money come into defi when anything can get hacked in a second
Not gonna happen unless there are robust insurance coverage for defi
Say what you will about normie base being centralized but any normie can sleep at night knowing their funds are safe
This is the one thing stopping defi to really blow up
I'm just a degenerate linkie and even I don't think I would stake a small amount of my portfolio with them for fear of losing it

I'm literally just going off the Chainlink blog post that said that Bancor protocol could set the stage for "traditional market" lending to come on board.
I wouldn't even have made that bold of a prediction myself, but based on Chainlink's history of never over-hyping anything I put a lot of stake in what they say.

>> No.20100804

>>20100674
The article is a real eyebrow raiser for sure but Sergey thinks in terms of very high level and long term goals, like sometimes he describes things with chainlink that won't be realized until the next decade and that's if everything goes as well as it can, he's a very optimistic ceo (or a great salesman) but as an investor you're supposed to be the opposite and envision the worst case or more realistic scenarios

>> No.20100885

>>20100804
Sure, man, and I don't think there's any harm at all in being skeptical. But even putting aside the institutional stuff, if Bancor's solution gets up and running, and there is actually no impermanent loss, and single asset staking works, then that is an awesome platform to provide liquidity on for a whole host of reasons.
Even if it takes the institutions a few years to get on board, everyone who is in DeFi already will be able to stake any ERC20 asset that has a Chainlink price feed, while maintaining a 100% long position in their asset of choice, while not risking losses through impermanent loss.
In terms of technical innovation, matched with a market cap around 100m, that puts it firmly in good buy territory and I'm more excited about v2 than I have been about anything in crypto for along time, not just for potential profits but for what it would mean for DeFi and DEXes in general.

Bancor was the unit of account that that faggot Keynes wanted to institute so a global banking cabal could control a nations interest rates for being to sucessful in international trade, rather than letting the free market work.

Keynes is the perhaps one of the worst villains of the previous century, excepting Jews. His name is pronounces Cains, to show his spiritual link to Satan.
