i literally cannot find a cheaper flagship phone than either the xiaomi pocofone range or the xiaomi mi/mi mix range. I pay 300-400 GBP to import the phone from a UK based online seller the year the phone releases with the newest snapdragon chip on par with a Samsung galaxy S etc of that year.

Theres no cheaper way to get current gen silicon in your phone

They are huge in china. Xiaomi sells some phones as loss leaders thats likely how they get so cheap, their main enterprise is software not phones.

Bought a brand new Oneplus 7 pro from Purse.io when it launched and I can probably sell it on the aftermarket for the price I paid. Minus 20% is the worst case scenario.
Oneplus is the only Android with Apple-like longevity and reliability.
It's also the best phone at retaining its price, iPhones come second, and every other piece of trash android is far behind.
Also better screen than an iPhone, pretty enjoyable desu, I even bought 5M AKRO on mine.

There's a reason why Xiaomi phones are mostly sold online.
If you check them side by side with a good phone, you can immediately tell they're pretty poor quality.
In terms of specs they look the same.
But their "oled" screens look worse than high-ish end LCD-s and you can barely see what's going on in bright sunlight. Their OS is also made for chinks and you can tell it.
Oneplus raised prices but they never compromised on being as good as premium phones. Xiaomi is an expensive SoC with a shitty screen. And desu, screen is more important on a phone.

P.S. Unironically if you're looking for a new phone buy a fking op7 pro, you can probably find an amazing bargain, especially if you're shopping on purse.io. It will last you 5-7 years and it will look amazing and act snappy throughout - which is insane value for money if you're not a consoomer who'd buy a new phone every 2 years.

I prefer to protect my investment than have some aesthetical device. It makes it easier to grip, too. The thicker and more rugged the case, the better. I wish they made griffin defenders for this phone.

Looking at chadfolios isn't the same when you're not on a OnePlus device.
