If you live in UK, do your weekly grocery shop in Aldi or Lidl, as opposed to Sainsbury, Tesco etc.
It's about 30-40% cheaper, and you can put that money into Link or something

> 1. Eating out constantly.
this tip sucks man, completely lacking. here's a better tip, eat only food that actually nourishes you. Vegetables are useless. Meat is good, Fruit is good, if it grows in your region and you buy in season. if you are a white european, You eat fruit in summer only. Buy from local farmers instead of Lidl; if you buy in shops like OP recommends you will get low quality shit. I basically eat one high quality steak + butter + some milk + (goose/duck/chicken) eggs every day. I spend less than 10 dollar a day on food. Vegetables and vegan tier products are expensive and dont satiate you. I also only eat one or two meals a day. eating 3 meals a day + snacks is for slaves.

> 2. Phone upgrades.
my phone costs 180 euros and lasts me 5 years.

> 3. clothing

> 7. impulse purchases

Stopping by to remind everyone that increasing your income has a disproportionately large impact on your savings rate, and decreasing your expenditures below about 30-40% of pay after taxes has increasingly diminishing effects on your savings rate.

Additionally, the higher your income, the more largest costs in your expenditures can be converted from a purely consumeristic expenditure to a networth building investment (rent vs mortage)

I do lift, or at least did lift before the fucking meme flu shut down all gyms, and I made great gains since I started a few years ago. I don't want to give up the alcohol bros. I live a very clean lifestyle, but my two vices are food and drink. I just love digging in to a well-made meal, and pairing it with either a homebrew beer or a manhattan or something like that.

You guys laugh but he has a point. I remember reading some math on a gambling forum that deduced that the lottery is actually minimally +EV, so it is "technically" a good bet even though it could take thousands of years for variance to equal out, or to see your expected return. I think buying a lottery ticket every month is smart, $2 to potentially change your life is such a low risk. I think buying more than that is retarded though, your chance dont improve enough to make it worth putting in non-meaningless amounts of money. I mean, if you cant afford food or rent, you shouldnt be buying lottery tickets, but $2 or $3 a month shouldn't be breaking you either.

I agree with pretty much everything else on op's list even though I'm a hypocrite and still buy dumb shit fairly often

>Eating out constantly
While eating out isn’t a good idea, the overall concept of “not spending money on food” is absolutely horrendous advice.

Good food - actually nutritious food - is so beneficial that purchasing it should be the number one item on your list. It is LITERALLY the difference between being fit, energetic and intelligent and being fat, lazy and retarded. I guarantee you 99% of things available in supermarkets are chemically manipulated garbage created by Jews to hurt you.

Most people don’t even know what being healthy feels like.

>> No.20081622

>>20081532
It's clear that playing the lottery at least some times is the only sensible choice. What is hard is figuring out how often is often enough. The mastermind logic presented isn't sophisticated enough to determine anything beyond the fact that you should play at least once

>> No.20081662

>>20081573
But on the flip side I see a lot of obese retards saying shit like "its cheaper to eat like shit" or "I ant afford to eat healthy", which is total bullshit. Sure a bag of rice is like $12, which is about the cost of a meal at mcdonalds, but that rice will probably last you for months. You could literally eat just chicken, tuna/salmon, rice and random vegetables with a multivitamin and get yourself 90% of the way to a healthy diet that will be cheaper than eating out every day.

I can relate to your vice of drinking, sounds like it's worse for me though, I usually end up having 7-10 drinks on a friday night and stay up until 5 or 6am doing stupid shit on my computer, really bad habit that I've cut down a good bit over the years, but when it happens my work schedule and fitness routine is ruined for a few days at least, it's a cycle of stress buildup and release
