A lot of people seem confused here.

LINK is in an accumulation channel that the whales/large players aren't ready to leave yet. They aren't done accumulating and for the most part no one is selling and more so they are removing what LINK is left off of exchanges.

In order to halt new price discovery BTC is dumped when LINK hits around 4.90 roughly. This shakes confidence in holders (especially linklets who have less than 1000 and just purchased).

Binance and other large players are able to drop the price without selling their LINK which is the opposite of what they want because there are enough retail that would buy it and remove it from circulation permanently. They can't dump with the price with LINK itself.

is industrial capitalism, of which financial capitalism is the scourge
In some bizarre twist it may be that the full automatization and decentralization through trustless protocols, of all sorts of financial products which cause endless issues in our economy, will turn them into a real driving force of industrial capitalism, instead of being its parasites
Or it may be that this is the swansong of said financial capitalism and DeFi will crash and burn, leaving crypto devastated. No idea but one would be stupid not to invest in LINK as even $10k is FUD

No you are dumb as fuck. It has nothing to do with price and more to do with actually shaking people out. Its getting incredibly hard for whales to actually accumulate at these prices because NO ONE is selling. Most of the volume is from bots buying and selling between each other/wash trading. They dump the price so YOU sell not to get in lower although they are keeping it under $5 to prevent price discovery before they are ready.

I have a better theory. Sergey wanted to throw us a bone so he made the ICO. Even then the ICO wasn't very accessible for retail buyers. We had to pool our eth and hope we got in the block. TPTB didn't like the ICO one bit, scolded Sergey and told him to ghost i nnvestors to get them to sell. Swift and the like know that once they publicly state they are using link accumulation is ogre so they keep the price down with btc to make OGs sell. They are already rich so they can wait .
This is a huge demoralizing psyop.
I really believe that once they know they can't supress the price any longer we will have a ridiculous moon. Like $10 to $ 300 in a week. But that may happen 7 years from now

Smart contracts are massively beneficial to major corporations.
But at the same time they are inherently peer to peer.

Especially with peer-to-peer oracles.

You disregarded the wash trading, which kills your whole argument. /Biz and retail probably holds like 10 million collectively, and they want every single one of them.

It's triggering bots or something like that. It works like this: BTC dumps, quickly sell ALT for BTC for $, then buy back BTC at a lower $ price and then buy the ALT back for a lower sats price(or just directly buy ALT with $). Lots of bots that have some indicators that get triggered so they automatically sell LINK, but as you can see the sats price isn't really dumping much anymore.

Are you describing ASMR old friend? I don’t get it from listening to thots crinkle plastic, but particularly incredible ideas or visualizations trigger it in me, as well as sometimes art or music.

On the occasions I’ve seen God’s hand at work it was particularly incredible, and I’m certain the phenomenon is connected in that way.
