Can someone help me with the tokenomics? How are people getting to these astronomical values?

If I try to value a masternode, even assuming an insane volume, I get to something like this:

Daily Volume: $1B
Trading Fees (0.25%): $2.5m
To Masternodes (45%):$1.125m
Per Masternode (Assuming 10k): $112 / day

So in this example a masternode is returning $41k per year, or roughly $2.73 per XSN. Those are nice gains, but that is assuming the same daily volume as binance?

What other elements give the token value that I may be missing?

>> No.20038247

10k masternodes is the issue. Only 1800 now.

Suppose that increases to 2k (conservative) - not looking at any other of the math leads to a return of 560 per day.

>> No.20038266

do TPOS - trustless proof of stake lets you stake from your core wallet without keeping it open. Others stake for you trustlessly. I've done that with my XSN and it works great. Just have to pay the person staking it for you (a merchant). There is a channel in the discord for it.

>> No.20038356

Fair enough. I would definitely expect that number to go up once people can stake from their ledgers, not to mention more people buying in.

Either way it might be splitting hairs. The real question is whether the exchange catches on. That $1B is a crazy number I used for illustration purposes.

>> No.20038360

>>20038241
Cloud staking is made for small amount, usually you put the rewards from the masternodes until you have enough to create a new masternode.

If you want to keep passive income and still 100% safe as said either TPOS (no need to have 24/7 pc on) or masternodes.

But you can also put them into ledger and trezor (both supported)

Some of your assumptions are off. You put 15k XSN into a node. Currently 2250 MNaaS. There are more that run on VPS though. Maximum number of MNs = total supply / 15k. MNs also earn 45% of block rewards (~7XSN/day) in addition to DEX fees.

they also pull rewards from dApps and TOR usage...
the rewards that can come from MNs are absolutely absurd.

>> No.20039447

>>20039331
You have to remember IF the DEX was doing $1B in volume a day you have to think about what ludicrous price XSN would be and how much an MN would cost. If they were making $1000 a day in revenue then an MN would surely cost more than $350k as you would get a full ROI in just 1 year so would probably be double that at $700k

That would mean XSN would be about $46 each. How many people would break there MN and sell for that and how many people could afford $700k to buy one? So I don’t think there would be 2000 MN running if it got that high, I think maybe like 1000 or so possibly but then if it’s just a 1000 then they would be getting double the quoted trading fees earlier and be making around $2500 a day which would probably make them even more expensive.

Honestly the potential returns on this are mind boggling if it explodes so it’s worth a gamble.

It's going to be ran through the light wallet so you don't need to have all the individual chains on your hard drive. You'll just select what you want to use and everything is done in the background through the MNs. That's the end goal.

The dex facilitates that through the lightning network and eventually raiden with how instantaneous it is and with low fees. You'll have access to all the dapps on ethereum and other chains in one place.

If stakers and MN each get 45% of the rewards then what is the benfit of the MN?

>> No.20053046

>>20052905
MNs earn DEX and LN routing fees.
All fees are swapped into XSN - 10% of every fee burned.

>> No.20053192

>>20052905
At a base level it depends on the weight of each side the the network MN’s Vs Stakers. Each side gets the same amount of XSN distributed to them but it’s how much competition you have to get those rewards. If there was 20M worth of XSN in MN’s vs 40M worth of XSN staking then you would get twice as many reward on the MN side as there would be twice as much XSN competing for rewards on the staking side.

Right now there is about 35M XSN in MN’s and 41M XSN staking so MN’s get slightly more rewards than stakers.

Since anyone owning XSN can stake but only those with over 15k can run a MN, running a MN should always be more profitable. If it ever became more profitable to stake people would leave the MNs, but it can't go the other way.

What is the valuation of the DEX and LN routing fees that MNs can earn?

>> No.20053592

>>20053339
All depends on how popular the DEX is. 90% of the trading fees go to to the MN’s running it, the remaining 10% is burned to reduce XSN circulating supply

I had no idea that 10% of all the fees were burnt until recently. That's brilliant. A complety decentralized balance between building up the MN network so it can scale and burning off excess.

400 link for a masternode is a fucking steal. Don't know how much LINK you hold, but if you sell 4k link for 10 XSN nodes, you'll make boatloads of cash once the DEX takes off, guaranteed.
LINK already mooned hard, so the upside potential is getting smaller and smaller for each day that passes.

Diversifying is a great strategy, especially in projects that builds tech solving huge problems.
