Anon. Even though I'm hypercritical of the stacker idea and mentality, you have a lot to be proud of. It takes discipline to organize your finances such that you stack and save. That discipline is something to be proud of.

I'm not personally convinced that the economy will go tits up and the USD will mean nothing, nor am I convinced that the USD will ever go to a PM backed standard. But I do think it's important for people to do their research, make informed choices, and act on them instead of complaining about the world.

You've done the former, so be proud. You have made informed decisions, and you've acted. The emotional gratification of PMs coming in can be considered a bonus...but what you're really doing is what Buffet always talks about: when you get paid, first you make sure you PAY YOURSELF before doing anything else.

I throw my %s into savings, retirement, etc., and you throw a % of yours into PMs. In the end, you're still 'paying yourself' because PMs will never be valueless. So, be content, and sleep easy.

>I may be critical of the strategy, but I can't fault the conviction. Sorry; I'm in the middle of watching the Venezuela videos posted in the last thread...a little teary eyed and emotional.

C'mon....a 500$ bill weighs the same as a 1$, and takes up the same space approx.

I'm holding 120$ worth of silver in my hand right now...and it's heavier than my wallet that is holding 200+.

That's the benefit of notes and not silver and gold. You don't need a medieval 'purse' to carry wealth, nor can it be cut off your horse by thieves that easily. If I were to be bullish, then I'd say that's the benefit of fully digital funds: you can't get robbed unless someone breaks into your account.

Not saying this, i myself am stacking 100% silver so you better believe i'm bullish on it. It's just the current paradigm only use gold for inter-nations trades, but i believe there will be soon a 'split' in trade agreements and that the US-south america-EU coalition will use silver going forward, while Russia-Opep-China will still use gold. Of course there will be a consensus about the new international gold:silver ratio, which surely will be well below the current 1:100, that's why i'm stacking silver. I made lenghty posts explaining my reasoning few months prior, i wish i screencapped them, but sadly i didn't.

The QRD is the US aren't actively purchasing gold since a while, but are using investment banks as forefront to purchase immense amounts of physical silver (especially JPM) while maintaining the prices artificially low. The US and the EU market regulation offices are also actively sweeping under the rug these banksters practices by refusing to prosecute said banks for their schemes. Which lead me to believe the banks are mandated by the US/EU central banks to secretely stack on their behalf.

Not only that, but i recently found something i've not disclosed here yet : banks trading on the comex started to buy huge numbers of shares of silver mines outside the US, especially in mexico/peru/argentina/chile.., but didn't do it under their names, they used shell investment companies to purchase said shares.
Why would banks actively shorting silver on the markets, get big positions in the silver mining industry? It's totally nonsensical, you don't purchase something with one hand and hope to destroy it's value on the other hand.
Someone could argue they do this to cover their short positions on the comex, but it still doesn't make sense, you can't cover a position with companies' shares, and why would they use shell companies to do so?

There is some kikery going on frens, and i'm determined to find what's up there..

Okay. You've convinced me. The evidence is leading to this:

1) US dollar is going to hyperinflate. As a result, US will convert to a Silver-backed Dollar, along with a conglomerate of Mexico and other South American nations that produce it.

2) They'll do this precisely because they cannot compete with a Gold-Backed Russia and China, which have both foreseen the impending destruction of the US dollar.

So the question becomes then: how is the gold:silver ratio negotiated? Will the US win because of military superiority, or will Russia+China gold conglomerate win because...amount of PMs stored?

If Russia/China win, then silver might not moon...but if US wins, silver moons...right?

Whatever geopolitical advantages are conferred by a PM currency pale in comparison to those derived from fiat monetary policy. I can imagine an unlikely scenario where the dollar becomes so unstable that PMs briefly fill the gap, until one country or bloc emerges with the advantage and transitions back into global reserve fiat. But if I had to guess, the reason they’re picking silver is because the money they’d otherwise spend on bonds is better used on something else, even if the yield ends up minuscule, it’s better than the garbage bond market

That's my take on the whole situation. Just add a 1-a : once hyperinflated, the US will pay it's creditors with worthless dollars, and that's why they will have to make a metal-backed currency afterward : to restore investors/ confidence, especially the foreign ones.

>So the question becomes then: how is the gold:silver ratio negotiated?
Idk yet, but China and the US are the biggest trade partners there are, all this supposed trade war is a clownshow for the normies. Reality is China always valued silver, and will be happy to get something real (at last) instead of the current toilet paper we are giving them. It's win-win. The real big question is : what the G:S ratio will be? If the US are using silver, they'll do all they can to lower the ratio as much as possible, and the opposite is true for China/Russia. A fair agreement would be to simply use the mining ratio (1:8), but it's never that simple. When France was the superpower around the block, they did a 1:15 ratio, and it was the rule of thumb worldwide for the longest time. Maybe the countries involved will rule back old treaties to determine the ratio, who knows..

>If Russia/China win, then silver might not moon...but if US wins, silver moons...right?
It's not about winners and losers, if China refuse the US silver then they lose their biggest trade partner.
Fun fact btw, China used to value silver as money historically, not gold. And when the silk road was fully open, they couldn't give two fuck about gold : we had to pay them in silver for silk, spices, tea, porcelain,etc...
To such extend that Europe ended up totally depleted of it's silver, and we couldn't trade anymore. We had to overpay the Ottomans for their silver with gold to then trade it with the chinks. That's when the dutch india company and the english east india company started a blockade of China's seas, using their fleet to force China to adopt the gold standard, which they have since then. It was the first Opium war.

That's what I've read. Apparently when Germany asked to see the Federal Reserve in 2015 or so, Merkel was refused...lol Then they asked for their gold back, but when they got it a few years later, the serial numbers were different to what the Germans thought they had put in originally...lol

The Venezuela Gold situation was reported on by a number of sources; they even had a parade as they brought in their gold to the capital. I have no idea if there was real gold in the vehicles in the parade (I'd guess not for fear or robbery), but they did apparently get their gold back.

>>19966843
That makes sense. Still though; why wouldn't they pick gold instead of silver? Given the amounts of currency we're talking about (billions, if not trillions), then wouldn't gold be a better bet? Or do they choose silver because it's easy and available and they have more mines continentally than others?

>>19966853
Yeah, I guess. The same way I've been building my retirement fund. I guess I haven't taken the leap to do so to the 33% range because I haven't had enough evidence that it'll be necessary (and therefore offset the gains I'm making in the stock market). alright guys lets talk about gold for a second,
if russia and china combine their official gold reserves, roughly 150 million ounces. or somewhere between $30-40 trillion. thats roughly about 60% of the USA's official gold reserve.

so what do these things tell us. in theory china or russia by themselves have the gold to back enough physical dollars to replace the USD. but the US has way more official gold then anyone else. and rumors of JP morgan stacking silver for the govt.

honestly these are signs of war when major powers start stacking enough gold to get them through a conflict. But it also shows us there is plenty of gold in the world to make gold backed dollars

the point isn’t that these problems aren’t solvable at all (they are), but that they make commerce unnecessarily cumbersome. I think its just another small foot note in the Chinese mind set thinking they're being trend setters to assert themselves even in to the point of trying to carve out a place on the precious metal market.

Again though, you should be on the active look out for strange logistics & computer commodities that match that same unit of measurement/weight of the sliver coming out of China & Taiwan. Like my Liberty Lobby rounds? I was almost totally in Constitutional (junk silver) before the kung flu plandemic, and wanted to use my Trumpbux to get into bullion, and found a cheap supply at my local coin store. When i saw that round in the middle, I was curious about it. The fact it was 1980 and vintage silver was also appealing. Then I got home and looked up the round, finding the group that had it made. Based and red-pilled as fuck. I made sure I picked up as many as I could afterwards, and thought I bought out his entire supply of them.

Managed to pick another one up at the LCS just recently along with the other two. The one on the right has the lizard on the other side, but for the generic round price of $20, I'll accept the lizard's image for a government coin.

Im wondering if they're going to some how fake silver & plant them within batches to shady overseas "business partner" or a subsidiary they own or some how pair a shipment of large containers of bulk silver with some mainframe computers or something along those lines like phones that Taiwan has contracts tied to the U.S.

The pairing could somehow be manipulated in the batches of silver in the claims processing from port to port. The new measurements could be falsely mixed in with regular tory ounce units giving the illusion that all ounces shipped over are the same unit along side mainframes of some kind, which entail the entire shipments split containers to have inaccurate total weight associated with them to hide the microlevel implants or heavier components meant to corrupt or crash networks.

This technique seems risky & maybe could be used ounce or twice before anyone catches on. This also could be used to smuggle weapons or other potential smuggled goods useful to the Chinese communist party against the U.S & its allies.

If this new measurement practice falls out of use FAST than something very well may be up.

Interior chip components that mine data are like microlevel copies attached to chips to where it takes an engineer to recognize the difference, so the smuggling weight technique may be used for something else.

I don’t know if your still here anon, but this is a reply to your safe question.

Safes slow the bugler down and should be your last line of defence to deter stealing. In the Europe at least we have safes that can be insured up to €5000. Example is pic related: De Raat PT series. It also mildly fire retardant, if properly bolted to the concrete floor it is very hard to remove.

https://youtu.be/0IjOo-1cf7Q

Your first lines of defence should be an alarm system and good locks, imagine finding and trying cracking a safe when alarm sirens are going off. Only an insider would know where your safe is, so keep your mouth shut about PM’s outside of /biz/.

Another anon mentioned decoy safes, good idea. Remember to put I a few missable valuables inside (1 kg copper bars, ugly tarnished silver rounds with no numismatic value, some cash etc.), so if a burglar finds your decoy safe, he will get a dopamine hit (wohoe reward), and leave your home thinking he had a big score.

You guys are making things too complicated. All a nation has to do to back their currency with metals is GUARANTEE anybody who goes into a bank with 10 dollarydoos will be able to exchange that currency for one ounce of silver or 100 dollarydoos for an ounce of gold at any bank in the nation. Most people will be happy with the paper or digital currency, if you don't trust the government then you can exchange your new world order dollars and keep the metal in your home. It's that simple. Pegging the currency to a ratio of metal to dollars, it prevents the government from printing too much, creates stability and every single person can act as a check and balance against the government by converting currency at any time.

You don't need to carry around metal, that's dangerous and archaic. We just need a government guarantee of convertibility! Of course, every government is addicted to deficit spending so this will never happen.

It's an issue of evidence plus exit strategies. There are many financial experts who are not convinced that a PM backed US dollar will ever exist. That combined with the fact that a PM backed dollar would sabotage the capabilities of control that a fiat currency affords the people really in power means that no one, NO ONE in power right now wants there to be a PM backed currency: it prevents them from making more money or having more control.

In terms of inflation or hyperinflation, there are other Anons who have pointed out the ways that the govt can kick the can down the road (and how fiat currencies facilitate this); there is no reason to suggest that the political pressure plus the ability to forgo change won't mean a situation of continuous status quo.

I understand your sentiment, but it's very close to being conspiracy-theory tier. I always listen to evidence and try to weigh it, so rather than say something empty, offer evidence.

>Why would the US go to a PM backed currency? It would be a distinct disadvantage for them in the long run as the same problems of inflation still occur with PM currencies as they do with fiat, only there is far less control.

>Why would the US let their entire population (aside from the billionaires) sink into poverty, (and since there is significant gun ownership) violence, and zombie-apocalypse style living?

>Why would foreign countries that rely on stability of the USD be happy with the US currency going tits up? They obviously have a stake to keep it stable. Hell, even China does because of their economic strategies.

>Why would the oil producing middle-eastern countries want the USD to collapse? They still do business using the petrodollar, and this would create worldwide chaos in terms of shipments, prices, etc.

I could go on and on. I get the causes, but the solutions don't work.

kek at your cope

Also imagine naming few random asian shitholes over the course of 3000 years when your 250 years old country basically waged war outside of it's border every single year since it's constitution have been written.
I could make a list of all the countries invaded by the US, but it wouldn't fit in a single post, even two, and it would be shorter to simply name the ones who weren't invaded by you :
- Israel

At school in my country the only mandatory second language is english, not chinese. Actually most schools don't even have a mandarin option.
When i want to see a movie in a cinema, it's only american trash availible, not chinese films.
When i want to buy clothes, it's only american brands availible, even tho they are made in China.
The only foreign country allowed to have military bases in my country is the US, certainly not the chinks.

You are so oblivious to reality it's fucking painful to watch. It's the fucking US (((bankers))) who financed the CCP in the first place, you abysmal cretin.

If you think jews are bad, the CCP are turbonoses on steroids. I promise you that this is true. Everything you hate about the US, China is guilty of a hundred times over.

I went to both China and the US and i felt way more secure and at home in China. Chinks are courteous, polite, racially homogeneous, food is good, everything is so peaceful.. and it value traditions and (state approved) history. People are welcoming and in good shape, streets are cleans.

In California everything was smelling awful, it was chokeful of violent drugged niggers and metzitos, looked like a lawless shithole where everybody is never relaxing 'just in case'. No culture, no values, only violence and exuberance.
Not saying everything was perfect in China, you have cops every 2 meters, a lot of things are censored, air pollution is awful the windless days, state propaganda is everywhere, people are afraid to be critical toward the CCP and denunciation is encouraged. This is clearly a police state.
But man the US... what a fucking degenerate, sociopathic, obese unethical shithole. There is no cohesion, no empathy, no peace, only degeneracy and dumbness as far as the eye can see.

I love brass (and copper) too, and would stack up on self-defence tools if I wasn’t in a nogunz jurisdiction.

But the only precious metals with the characteristics of money are gold and silver, no mistake. And silver doesn't stay shiny shiny almost forever the way gold does, which is why it’s historically usually been 10-15x less valuable than gold.

I actually REALLY like silver, new silver is shinier than gold, it’s cheaper which means you can reasonably afford to buy utensils and objects d’art made of it, but still. GOLD is the king of metals for a reason.

Just Google how really old gold coins, from English Guineas to medieval Ducats to the ancient Roman coinage look today. It’s astounding how brilliant they still are. By contrast, even uncirculated Very Fine silver coins from as recent as the 1950s look dull and gray.

Not dissing silver, it’s great I love it, I spend a huge chunk of my paycheck on the stuff every month. But... only gold is gold.

>> No.19969351

>>19969339
Oh the other special characteristic of gold is that it’s highly malleable which is always a plus in a metal in terms of the shapes you can make in into which is why jewelers can’t get enough of it.

(Of course silver has its own cool properties too like being antibiotic. So eat off silverware to avoid food poisoning)

All i do is just provoking to see you arise like the phoenix. Once true americans take back the reins of power and destroy this kabbalist nightmare you are trapped in, it will be the greatest nation on this planet. But the clock is ticking, and every hour passing make me more depressed about the situation you (we) are in. All i see right now is textbook russian bolchevism in the 30's. ie jewish politic comrads financing lawless mongols golems and training them to hate chrisitians and whites in general, to then promote them in the state repression forces (police) to massacre and rape the native population. They also used sexism and racism as divide and conquer back then, it was also promoting a socialist utopia of racial harmony. And it ended up in goulags and bloodbaths.

If the russian bolchevik revolution is the bluebook of what's currently happening, it will soon unfold as follow :
- to fight systemic racism, only blacks will be allowed in the police
- always more propaganda against the evil whiteys, teached in school, on TV, everywhere
- soon reeducation camps are created, to reform the mind of ppl who posted non-compatible behavior, like posting on 4chan or retweeting AJ
- nigger police is allowed to rape white women in the streets, to create a "beautiful colored future"
- whites are deemed a threat to national cohestion, nigger police is now allowed to shot anyone who don't please them
- all the history of the country, books, monuments, etc.. are burned, a new narrative is created

Austrian 4 ducats just seem so good for stacking. Better premiums than whole ounces but at .4438oz each I can afford to buy one almost every paycheck instead of having to blueball myself two months at a go. Seriously, is there a downside? I too know these feels Anon. It makes it hard to spend on those frivolous, but relatively small purchases of consumer products. How can you spend $10 on something you don't need when if you just don't do that three times, you will have another ounce of silver, even if it's a plain Krugerrand or easily bullied Philly?

Clearly there's a point at which this becomes unhealthy, but maybe in these times, there are worse things than being like this.

I wonder why it is so much easier to be a miser when you stack precious metals? It's almost as hard NOT to be a miser when you are a stacker as it is not to be a spendthrift when you're not a stacker.

it is easier to fake paper notes and base metal currencies then it is to fake gold/silver.

paper is just that, paper, it may have holograms, inks, and so on, but faking those is not as hard as faking PM's, and it is a more convincing fake when done.

You literally can not fake PM's, once someone tests it, it will show as gold/silver or not, a simple weight/displacement test will detect any fake, because you simply cannot fake specific gravity of physical elements.

Similarly, I won't deny myself luxury goods and services that I know I will get enough use out of to justify their purchase.

After all, as you so eloquently and simply stated: "Moderation in all things."

In 1964, minimum wage was just under 0.9ozt of silver an hour ($1.25FV in 90% coinage). Today, that minimum wage has fallen to less than half of that (0.4ozt in clownbux at spot today). We've been earning less and less in real terms for some time now.
