Just to be clear, a trailing stop loss is like a normal stop loss ("if it goes below ___, sell to the first available bidder"), except the stop loss rises as the stock price rises. So if you set a $3 trailing stop loss when WKHS is at $10, the stop will begin at $7.00, but if WKHS goes to $12, the stop will rise to $9. It has nothing to do with timing and everything to do with maintaining a baseline sell-off point which adjusts if the price becomes more optimistic.
