BAL is offered by Balancer Labs not STA, STA is just the volatile pool that helps you earn more BAL not provide it out of its pocket.

Balancer Labs is currently in the process of adding the option to pool with just 1 token so you can keep your chainlink intact instead of getting it dispersed into 5 tokens in the index fund.

Atm the only way to 1-token pool is to manually write a smartcontract. Change the address from STA to Chainlink.

Actually I'm kinda screwing over the current people liquidity mining in the STA pool. The lesser people the less you have to share your BAL tokens with.

You get BAL every Tuesday. It's kinda bad if you have STA because it could moon in price this weekend.
Also pooling STA decreases its price and provides more resistance against raising the price which would help a whale to accumulate, but not good for shrimp.
