Non shitpost incoming
On one hand, it's a good thing that these kinds of issues are being identified and fixed while Chainlink in general is still in its infancy
I would be extremely concerned if Chainlink had literally 0 issues after launching on Mainnet
Every piece of software has issues that must be discovered after developing it, no exceptions.

On the other hand, it obviously looks pad from a PR standpoint. And the fact that they aren't even able to have a perfect price feed doesn't bode well for their expanded oracle use cases.

Follow up

Looked at the sNikkei price history on the synthetix exchange and i dont see anything glaring
Compared to the actual Nikkei price, it seems to be functioning properly. It's obviously possible that SNX wiped the dirty data or something, but it could also be an issue where it just stopped reporting rather than reporting a completely inaccurate price (which would be significantly worse)

LINK does it's best to resolve this problem by having multiple nodes and data sources, but at the end of the day there is absolutely no solution on earth to retrieving data if every single source of data goes down.

CL actually addresses this problem by making it easy to ingest and average multiple APIs reporting on the same data vs. relying on a single API or needed multiple feeds and needing to average or pick an API. CL adds an incredible amount of efficiency where there currently is none. A delayed feed is a delayed feed, only way to fix that is to use another feed, but the other feed could be delayed as well. By allowing ingestion and validation of multiple feeds you reduce the problem exponentially, it is unlikely all data providers will be delayed or inefficient at the same time.

>Crypto peaked in 2017 and can never ever ever go above that says this faggot.

Sure. It will never go above $100. "That's what 10K suicide stack, right?" means.

ETH pushed past a 150 billion cap at one point. LINK hitting 35 billion would put it at your "suicide stack, right?" number or damn close to ETH's ATH if you release the other 650 million LINK tokens.

So far, crypto has been chugging along on speculation and hype. But this could change. We have not seen widespread adoption of crypto technology yet. But it likely will happen. When it becomes economically beneficial to start using these new technology, companies will dive in deep

There no IT 20 yr old you faggot that even have the viewpoint to talk to the middle managers and up about adoption of new tech. I say this as someone in their mid 20s who has to beg my manager to let me come and take notes about big data projects and technology revamps and i’m actually in a program that suppose to groom me to a manager...

Instead of fudding LINK and looking retarded why not just buy in unless your that fucking poor you can’t afford $4.

If you don't even know the basics of how chainlink works, then why are you sitting here arguing so strongly against it? You don't know how this stuff works. So kindly fuck off and do your own research and then you can come back and discuss your concerns

I’m very aware of how chainlink works. Here’s my question put another way: there is nothing in the Chainlink contracts that enforces node operators to announce which data sources they use. You can select 100 oracles, fine, but how do you, as a user, ensure you are getting data from a robust set of sources?

So “security through obscurity”? On another note, I think you’re assuming all API providers are equally easy to attack. Attacking a good API provider isn’t easy. It would essentially involve hacking an API providers internal infrastructure.

The foundation is being explored, researched, and built. Blockchain is here to stay. Incentivized blockchains like Bitcoin and other proof of work chains have set a tone for cryptocurrencies. Do you see decentralization of centralized data exchanging or vice versa? Isnt Chainlink supposed to be decentralized or is decentralization a lie?
