either are fine. I own a ledger, there isn't some grandiose difference between the two. 99.9999% chance if you get compromised its because of some dumb shit you did, and not the physical device that is a ledger or trezor

I use a ledger. Works fine for me even in ganoo loonix

If you wait 'til black Friday they will probably run a deal with nano x and nano s. That's what I got. Basically two for one, I use the nano a as a backup and traveling device.
