The case has morphed quite a bit from the initial hype months back, it was originally a play on oil storage due to the shutdowns BTFOing demand, with OPEC being too inept to curtail supply. Fast forward a few months and people have noticed that there are a few factors (such as a historically low number of ships being built, lots of old ships due for scrappage etc.) aligning that could support high rates for tankers for a few years. To be honest, there are probably better risk/reward balances to be found elsewhere, but I'm willing to put a portion of my folio in long to see how it goes.
