I've noticed that KR tends to go up when SPY goes down, which is weird since it's part of SPY.

Grocery stores are immune to recessions. When people don't have an income, pretty much the *one* thing they *have* to spend money on is food.
Grocery stores are immune to COVID. They're essential businesses.
Grocery stores are immune to China trade wars. They sell perishable food mostly sourced locally.

Look up the CEO Rodney McMullen. He started at the bottom. This is company has good leadership.
KR's PE is 15.73, not a meme stock and not yet inflated from Jerome's green dildo.
KR has consistently has increasing dividends per share quarter over quarter.

http://ir.kroger.com/quarterly-results
>Kroger's fourth quarter 2019 ended on February 1, 2020.
Holy fucking shit this is RIGHT before all the hoarding began. These next earnings FULLY ENCAPSULATE all of this year's madness.
I'm scaling back my own shopping so I'm buying cheaper stuff at Kroger. What do I see in the aisles? "Due to heavy demand we are low on stock on this item. We are in talks with our suppliers" Blah blah.

I'm telling you KR has been a huge sleeper while everyone plays with meme stocks. These earnings the day before the quad witching are going to be epic.

There's no tax in a TFSA, just before it's put into it. If you were on a non-registered account, you'd pay minimum 15% on capital gains (up to >26% in the top tax bracket). If you invest into a leveraged ETF at the current moment, shit's guaranteed to go up at least 100% over capital by end of year. What's a 6% penalty on the overcontribution compared to that? Then you can sell anytime, completely tax-free.

I think that the selloff was totally unrelated to the FED. He said bullish news. We just had a week long bull run, that is pretty impressive.
Basically look at corporate debt levels of now vs. 2008, 1944 (post ww2).
When the market actually falls due to systemic problems and not Corona, that is when we will be in for the two year recession, which will suck.
I see a 15,000 DOW, I think that is the fair fucking value, it only hit 17,500 during Corona fall.
I am extremely confident in what I am saying, but do your own research. We are going to close again this fall. Look at the projections/models of virus from Swiss and Bejing institute. Both are calling that if the virus didn't recede completely in early May, then we are statistically due for another due to the biology of the Virus.

remember just 1-2 months ago they had "White House Coronavirus Task Force" briefings and now we're hearing from jpowell almost every week, but it's lame because he just says the same shit.

You're not resilient in the slightest. The portfolio you've outlined is problematic.

The theory behind your portfolio is that our unprecedented long equity rally (at least for the US which is ~50% of total markets) continues for or for most of the next 15-20 years. If it doesn't, you're fucked or your returns are negligible.

You either need to seriously diversify (bonds, gold, commodities) or you need to approach your full-equity focus with good performers or leverage. Right now, you're trying to derisk a full-risk portfolio by making it exposed to different types of equities and you're just holding it back.

2. he saw it, got his people, his team, to trace my IP address, find out my identity, and then look into what trades I was making in my brokerage account.

What should I counterbalance TQQQ with? I fear that TMF can't realistically be used anymore, while it has performed marvelously over the last decade, this performance has in no small part been due to the tailwind of declining long term interest rates. The Fed can't buy assets directly, which is why SPV's were created in the first round of stimulus. The Treasury owns all the assets in the created SPVs and is responsible for them in a first loss basis, but the Fed finances them as a loan to the Treasury. AFAIK Congress has to okay the Fed lending for the creation of these SPVs since they require additional funding that gets added to the national debt.

I don't understand what happened yesterday. I sold everything on Friday and it should have crashed. What Jerome is doing should be terrifying the market, not helping it. The FED is admitting that the CLO market is essentially junk money that will NEVER be paid back, and that American taxpayers need to buy this worthless debt from the market otherwise the entire economy will crash. The FED is admitting that huge, huge public companies are close to collapse, and they're trying to soften the resulting collapse by taking away some of the dominos. They're going to impoverish the poor via inflation just so green line can go up.

Why are people not furious about this? It seems worse than the 2008 bailouts.

A lot of REITs are priced like we just went through a real estate crash (2008 levels) but the actual numbers will likely not be as devastating because businesses are still staying afloat indefinitely with government subsidies. Interest rates are much lower compared to 2008 so it's even easier for these REITs to stay ahead of their debt. I think people also overreacted in thinking that office real estate will be obsolete.

TVIX is probably the only passive option. Leveraged commodity funds are terrible and don't do the job, and anything non-leveraged would make you have to do 20/80 or something which cuts into the performance too much.

And? So long as it stays above 0 (even by a fraction of a dollar) you're going to be getting extremely better returns overall. You can control for volatility by adding some TMF in there and still achieve nearly as good returns while keeping volatility close to what you'd get on boomer grampa-tier SPY version 1 + SPY version 2. As a bonus you can control more exactly for your risk level by swapping between more TQQQ-heavy and more TMF-heavy (for example) depending on current acceptable risk level. 50% TMF is about 2x SPY stdev. Max drawdown is 25% vs SPY's 20% for the same period of 2012-2020, and drawdown is a much better risk metric than "volatility" or stdev (which is not directional).

Tenure is dead in the USA. It doesn't protect shit. Say you don't think some #metoo'd proven innocent person should be murdered by a mob and you can kiss your tenured position goodbye, doesn't even matter that you're a world-renown icon of your field.

same. it's hard to say. in certain photos, trump looks jewish. some of his kids look a little heeb too. his father Fred was a big supporter of israel, it says it right in his wiki
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Trump

we're seeing some very complex shit play out and only those on the inside know more details. notice how the news cycle is shifting a lot faster now.
