i actually think this news is kind of "priced in." If we're in a credit bubble, then Jerome saying he'll be buying up corp bonds (presumably now AAA down through BBB bonds), would just be part of his earlier commitment to infinite QE. I would guess that continued successful issuance of new bonds would be the bigger bull signal.

>How? I thought we were completely out of money
>Yes, but the share price has rocketed up over 500% from the lows! We're planning on issuing more shares and dumping them onto the market!
>What the fuck, our bankruptcy filing did go public right?
>Yes.
>So we're just going to issue more stock even though we're going bankrupt?
>Yes sir. The senior debtors and executive leadership team will get most of their packages after all!
>Great! But who the fuck is buying this trash? Don't they know the common shareholders are going to be wiped out?
>It appears that a group of 20 year olds from an organization called "read it" caught wind of this and everyone "bought the dip" since the lows to get what they're calling "cheapies".

>favorite leveraged ETF
Hello fren. SOXL is the answer. Face it. Semiconductors are crack in all but name. The desire for newer, faster, more is insatiable. Computers, GPUs, self-driving electric cars, AI enhanced smartphones, medical devices, microcontrollers, networking gear, machine learning, surveillance, infrastructure, military, the list goes on. No matter how many cores, how fast or efficient, demand requires bigger, faster, cheaper, better. The clamor for fresh silicon gives nary shit for national identity, creed, hue, gender or other vain conceit; the multitude speaks in singular. The plea: semiconductor.
SOXL couples a single ETF entry point with the the best companies the space has to offer then pushes these already stellar returns to the limit with 3x leverage. With SOXL your economic interests are aligned with hardware powerhouses TSMC, Nvidia, Qualcomm, Intel, Broadcom, AMD, Micron, Texas Instruments, Applied Materials, et al. Real tech companies with innovative products people want, not """tech""" """companies""" pushing shitty ads. And like all leveraged ETFs, SOXL is rebalanced daily, accelerating gains in an upmarket while deftly mitigating margin risks when down.
In the last 7 years, barring the coronavirus interruption, SOXL has exploded over 55x yet still we are early. Semiconductor growth will proceed exponentially until every viable space is saturated with it. This is a fait accompli; the sheer number of interested parties and compelling outcomes make it so. The injection of increasingly compact and efficient sensors, microcontrollers, information processing and storage into everything and everywhere will be this era's seminal revolution, a revolution with SOXL holders planted firmly at the receiving end.
Stop waiting for more "pullback". The crash was a gift and fretting over the exact bottom is meaningless. Waiting.. is a failure mode. Now. Buy it now.

I like SOXL. TQQQ has done better over a longer period of time, but recently SOXL has greatly overtaken it and I think it still has a lot of growth potential. FNGU is OK but I think it's in a bubble and won't be able to keep the current gains. I'd rather go SPXL or TQQQ if I swang that way. Or maybe 50% TMF 50% FNGU.
Overall strategy I'm going for: DCA into SOXL with a modified martingale scheme starting at 1% of account value until 100%. Each one year period after investment, switch 5% of value into TMF for the first 5 years with monthly rebalancing (leading to 25% TMF, 75% SOXL on year 5). For the 5 years after, switch 10% into TMF every year (leading to 75% TMF and 25% SOXL on year 10). Wait until a crash, then sell all TMF and repeat from the top, including the DCAing.

I cannot think or comprehend of anything more cucked than being a bear. Honestly, think about it rationally. You are shorting, doubling down, betting against America for at least 18 years solely so you can get your portfolio ravaged by bullchads. All the hard work you put into your beautiful little portfolio - reading stories about market failure to her at bedtime, constantly bleeding money on inverse ETFs, making sure she had a healthy diet of short term puts, masturbating thinking about red futures. All of it has one simple result: make your portfolio more enjoyable for the bulls that will over time fuck you in every hole.

Created the perfect thesis for a market crash? Great. Who benefits? If you're lucky, a random robinhood retard who knows nothing of peter schiff will buy boomer buffetts airlines and 3x his portfolio in a month. He gets to fuck buffett right in his boypussy every night. He gets the benefits from your embarrasing weak hands that came from coronavirus hysteria.

bears will never have their day.

The fed would need to embrace deflationary policy and stop QE, and I don't see that ever happening. Maybe one day, if we ended the FED, Bears will win. Our country would look like Japan and our markets would just plateau for 40 years.
But if that ever happens there will be little reason to use markets as investments and no one would care(as much) about the stock market.
But as long as the Fed keeps pumping, I'm going to keep buying and making a shit ton of $$$$$.

Total market crashes happen approximately exactly every 10 years. The point of SLOWLY moving into TMF is that exactly how many years is not clear, but it's very unlikely to be just after the previous crash. At the same time, TMF exposure greatly improves profit in crabby to slightly bearish market conditions (it slows down profit in massive bullrun though) so having exposure even one year after a crash is not a bad deal (5% is very slightly less long-term profit and slightly better risk mitigation; 20-25% TMF is reasonable risk mitigation and doesn't lose that much profit at all. 50% TMF basically laughs at the march dip but holding 50% at all times greatly reduces profit).
You could also just watch for yield inversion and reposition in a single move when it's observed, but I prefer not trusting any specific signal before adding any safety.

What will eventually happen is that the markets will look so unstable and inflated that large institutions will (reluctantly) start to sell and hold cash. Finalize their gains when the bubble is too inflated.
We're in a strange situation.
Or maybe the stock market will keep climbing until 2 to 3 from years, from the Fed decides to raise interest rates in response to creeping inflation.
I personally think the crash will come sooner, rather than later. But I can't say that with much confidence. QE is its own animal.

At these prices? I’d say picking up some MRK is a personal favorite of mine. I added to my position today and also bought a divvy champion LMT.

If they dip, I’d also keep an eye on CL, PEP, KO, and especially JNJ.

Also bullish on semis and very curious about AVGO. Not a market darling, but that Nokia news is promising and I didn’t even realize they had a 4% yield. I will be watching them for a nice dip!

Buy slowly, dividends are only your frens when they’re attached to fantastic stocks. The market could go in any direction from here.

Oh I also like Lilly but the market seems to hate it now so I’m not sure about it anymore.

LEAPS have 100x leverage and absurdly bad response to the underlying because THEY are a complex product that is dependent on plenty of factors (underlying price, price movement, volatility, time to expiration) on top of having extremely high startup costs. Good luck with your AMZN LEAP, which costs over 27k per for the 1y and gives you massive losses if AMZN goes UP 10%, let alone if it goes down at all. Meanwhile if you had just bought AMZN, 10% up would be 10% profit.
At the bottom an AMZN LEAP might have been a decent call, it's not like AMZN is going down any time soon and the recovery to at least the fibo retrace was pretty certain to be fast (though nowhere near that fast).

I don't think we can sustain this market even with Fed buying corporate bonds. The issue is if you ask yourself "Would I be confident buying in this market as it is?" the answer would be no for many people. Its buying the top, its buying at an uncertain time, etc. I think volume is going to taper off to nil when SPY gets back to 320-330, and the double top being in, the dump will begin. It might not be a fast dump, we could get a shitty crab bleed, but it'll happen. When SPY hits 320 go long on volatility again.

For its citizens, however, life has not improved, and unemployment, crime, suicide, and despair are rampant. Kimimaro, raised by his maternal grandmother after the disappearance of his father and the death of his mother, is a scholarship student whose only dream is to avoid all this and live a stable life. One day, however, he meets a man who offers him a large sum of money if he’ll agree to pay it back. That image clearly says it doesn't.
Bull index leveraged ETFs climb upwards faster than beta slippage can eat the massive gains they generate. And that can be avoided anyway by setting alerts tied to the VIX, which is always tied to significant crashes or crabbing. And hew circuits breakers means you can never lose that much in one day. Just immediately sell it all if VIX goes above 30 or a circuit breaker is tripped then immediately buy back in when VIX dies down.
Nothing comes CLOSE to these kinds of gains. And let's face it. Anything not tech is a pretty dogshit sector but the indexes will self cleanse the trash for you including meme tech garbage. TMF inverses the market downturns to "absorb" a lot of the potential drawdowns.
Hell if you had been in a comma during the march crash and not sold you'd still be monstrously ahead of boomer index investing.
And 2-3x leverage is empirically found to be optimal. NOTHING comes close to its returns unless its protracted bear market which would be indicated by a VIX anyway.

>Banks will make a shit ton off of this as they will be buying assets
ehhh... MAYBE investment banks like Goldman Sachs?

Banks have been notoriously fucked by QE and negative interest rates. That weakens the banking and financial system, see this ancient but digestible explanation during the sovereign debt crisis:

HIGHLY recommend to anyone who wants to understand QE

i'd backtest to determine how often it fucks up, but I'll continue to use it gingerly until it doesn't work. Shorting is, as you have stated by far the better choice, just requires more work.

It totally depends on how long you plan to hold. I am looking more short term so I sell weekly covered calls. If you want to hold indefinitely then it matters more that you sell farther outside the money. The frequency you sell covered calls depends on how much time you want to put into it. If you dont want to bother then just sell quarterly options way out of the money.

Hell yeah. This sounds like the fucking move. I typically only trade one momentum stock in my IRA, the rest of the shit is in mining stocks/cash, but this sounds like ideal given the momentum of this shit. Think I need to hit up my broker tomorrow to get approved (already had to do the same to buy OTCMKTS (GBTC), tho. May you live long and prosper.
