the problem is that it has lower volume than other places so often a coin will run up on bitfinex but it wont be able to keep up on coinbase because too many sell walls in place and not enough volume to overcome them

theoretically if the price difference got too great it would be in your interest to send your ETH or BTC from one exchange to another and sell where the price is high. (dont forget to figure any fees involved, i have never done this, only hypothetical)

Not all exchanges payout in fiat - in theory it could work if you are getting out entirely.

Trying to flip for profit between exchange usually won't work. Typically if an exchange is running higher prices then everything else is higher as well. Usually there is an end of the line somewhere and you can't continually gain and reinvest between exchanges.
