Investing based on the dot is kind of risky. The dot only measures whether or not people are paying attention to the same things. In theory, if enough people found out about the GCP, it could even create a "false positive" from people watching the dot. At best, the dot can tell you that something is capturing the attention of a lot of people, but it won't tell you anything about what that event is or how you should be trading it. The Superbowl generates the same behavior in the dot as 9/11.

Now if you really want to trade based on psi-influence over RNG type stuff, I suggest the book "The Selection Effect" by Herb Mertz. He created a text messaging system that is based on the idea that the user's own reaction to any text that is sent generates the statistical anomaly that triggers the text to be sent at a specific time which gives the message meaning to that individual (a Jungian synchronicity). I've been dabbling with recreating such an application and my latest testing involves a market advisor bot. At 12:56 6-4-20, the prototype flashed a "Sell DIG/Buy DUG" message when DUG was at $38.80. DUG fell over the following few days, but during the recent volatility has gone up over $41 and still sits over the cost basis.

the perfect example was a few months ago when there were news reports about the unemployment numbers being awful, like a week before the official numbers were released.

retards here claimed that the market was going to crash when the numbers were release, like they had some kind of secret insider knowledge.

the official numbers came out (and were roughly around the amount the news guessed) and i believe the market went up and everyone here was dumbfounded. the reason the markets went up was because the real insiders expected the numbers to be much worse.

hopefully that explains it

this is only true given the definition of the index. If an index is a weighted measure of the equity price of X corporations and you can add and drop them from the index, then when we have expanding credit/economy or net capital inflows into the index, the index only go up. We're likely to see either a stagnation or contraction in credit (after a potential expansion due to prior FED actions), and net capital outflows from the index. These indexes are going to stagnate. FAGMAN and large caps are likely going to outperform the indexes moving forward.

What I'm saying is that the vast majority of the fed printing is over, same with the stimulus. Maybe there is still some money printing but its far less than there was in april. Buying pressure is killed now.

We also see a lot of people who bought the "recovery" were leveraged and lost a shit ton, either get liquidated or they are holding leveraged ETFs which will sell to rebalance. Bullish calls are expiring so MMs are selling collateral. That's why we are seeing this brutal rug pull.

If Dow doesn't convincingly break 25k it's not a win for bears. The longer it sits at this level the better support established for the next run. If it's at 25k at open and can't break, look for shorts to get covered and a possible bear trap. Too early to say for sure but anyone with long puts isn't out of the woods just because of a futures gap down. I'd be very concerned if I had major puts right now.

I got so close to managing that. Did not lose from chinaman snuffles on equities. However, I had to try to long oil right before the ruskies and the arabs had differences over supply cuts late March/early April. Made it all back on rebound though. Now shorting and hoping there is some momentum to this sell off rather than brief dip and bounce.

>BUT A FEW FUCKING SNIFFLES START A SELL OFF WHEN IT IS CONFIRMED WE WON'T SHUTDOWN AGAIN
I’ll tell you something I observed in the March crash & rally: the times the line went up by some 10% were Trump listed actual things they were going to do in response to covid. Talk of lockdowns made the line go up, not down.
That is because unlike a bunch of dumb jocks you see on this board, the smart money knows that covid is no hoax, and has the potential to really do a number on society. Lockdowns are a lot better than what we are about to see without them, unfortunately as cases go up again and trump doubles down on no new lockdowns, that’s essentially him admitting America is too broke to be able to afford lockdowns, the better option, and will have to go for “taking it on the chin/herd immunity”, the suggestion that nearly unseated Boris. No lockdowns, frens, is not bullish, it’s dizzyingly bearish. You have been warned.
