The greatest feeling you can get in the market or the most satisfying feeling you can get in the market is the pump. Let’s say you buy calls, J pow is pumping into your Spy after hours and that’s what we call the pump. Your calls get a really tight feeling like your account is going to explode any minute and it’s really tight and it’s like someone is pumping air into your ETFS and it’s just blows up and it feels different, it feels fantastic. It’s as satisfying to me as cumming is, you know having sex with my wife’s boyfriend and cumming. So can you believe how much I am in heaven? I am like getting the feeling of cumming during market hours, I am getting the feeling of cumming on the weekend, I am getting the feeling of cumming during a Trump speech, when I pump up, when I post my gains in front of 5000 people I get the same feeling so I am cumming day and night. It’s terrific right? So I am in heaven.

Well you could go way back on the S&P chart or even way waaaaaay back on the DOW and do a statistical analysis of average green or red over a given period o' time, see how far we are outside that for a 30 day period or something.

However, we're only at two consecutive green days here. June 4th was ever so slightly red on S&P.

LMAO imagine buying Chinese bonds as a hedge, fucking hell

>Investors pumped a record $20.8 billion into investment grade corporate bonds in the week to June 3, according to BofA.
>"Investment-grade paper ... is the new Treasuries as it has the backing of the Fed," said Jack McIntyre, fixed income portfolio manager at Brandywine Global.
>"I would bypass some of these traditional safe haven markets to buy (IG) debt. Treasuries have an explicit guarantee from the government but IG credit has an implicit guarantee from the Fed."
>Some are casting their net wider.
>Stuart Rumble, an investment director at Fidelity Investments is exploring Chinese government bonds as a diversification strategy - noting their lower correlation to global equities.
>They also pay a reasonable income - at 2.8% for 10-year paper they provide a 250-300 bps pickup over U.S. and European debt.

Health officials looked at the US population and realized that a mandated lockdown was necessary because retards and sociopaths were going to ignore social distancing, mask wearing, and other mitigation strategies that have let some of the civilized nations slide through the pandemic without much fuss. The options were essentially "force everyone to stay home to avoid getting sick" and "have everyone get forced to stay home by getting sick at the same time." In that sense, the economic outcome was always going to be the same, but the mandated lockdown allowed for a longer timeline of infection and thus saved lives by preventing medical resources from being overloaded all at once.

>ATH are a mirage
Current prices are a mirage because the Fed has injected trillions into the market, meaning there is actually quite a bit of upside to go before we actually reach values equivalent to the ATHs from before that inflation.

There won't be a correction until serious news on the default/bankruptcy front or until the last round of liquidity gets consumed. In either case, the correction could theoretically be preempted by more Fed manipulation, but no matter what there will be after the fact manipulation to reverse the correction and protect the bull rally at least until the election. The next leg down for the recession due to GDP decline/earnings declines/business destruction/unemployment/etc. won't be possible until policy changes from automatic "whatever it takes" mode. If "whatever it takes" mode is left in place even after the election, hyperinflation is the next step. Since we can only hope that hyperinflation won't be allowed, the next big downside move can be expected after the election.

Why do you assume so much that everything is about the election? What is REALLY going to change in your life if Trump wins or loses or dies or resigns?

Do you think the Fed really cares who's in the Oval Office? I don't even think Powell cares, and he's really the one most directly effected, since he can be replaced next year. The Fed is going to keep right on doing what it's doing, and so will the government, and so will big business. Maybe they'll do a little bit less in china, maybe they'll hire more black people, who the fuck cares. What they're really going to do it continue to eliminate the middle class and funnel money to the people at the top. They're going to keep expanding the surveillance state and extend the power of government to take more and more freedoms from the citizenry.
They're going to keep consolidating power and wealth and telling you this election matters, but a (D) or (R) doesn't make a damn difference.

Again, the outcome was going to be the same whether the lockdown came from a mandate or from the result of letting everyone contract the virus all at once. The lethality isn't the only consideration because even those who are never at risk of dying can still be incapacitated for weeks. The economy was going to get tanked one way or the other, but the mandated lockdown was the way that would preserve the greatest number of lives by slowing the course of the virus.

>>19607471
Sure, it's not like the Fed had to step in at the end of last year to get out ahead of a liquidity crisis and then only a few months later faced down another. If "infinite" QE isn't actually infinite and they try to scale back intervention, we're going right back to March/December.

>>19607508
The "chairman" is essentially a ceremonial role with no actual power. All Fed decisions are made by majority vote of the governors. The "chairman" is just a sucker who has to go explain their decisions to the public and testify. The president can theoretically demote JPow to being a regular governor (although this has never happened and would likely be challenged in court), but that would have no impact on the functioning of the Fed. Removing a governor requires a distinct cause and a flippant attempt to remove a governor would be reversed by the courts.

Any number of the "I'll never wear a fucking cuckmask for this hoax virus" posts on /pol/ are all the evidence anyone needs to understand that a reasonable response to the virus was never possible for the US, thus why an authoritarian response was necessary. That's just what I heard, that on Black and Blue Tuesday after Black Monday in '87 futures were set to open down 500 points which would have rendered major banks insolvent. The fed admitted to providing liquidity ofc, but rumor is they directly interacted with the futures market to stave off the disaster for a little while. Again it's just a rumor but it seems simultaneously possible and deeply sinister

if chinkflu is real: it would be a brilliant move by the CCP to nudge protest behavior for further spreading of the virus.

if chinkflu was a hoax and it was just the regular flu and pnuemonia: then it doesn't matter.

keep in mind that before goyvid-19 there were multiple protests happening around the world, most notably in HK and France. by releasing this memeflu, or by simply hyping it up, they squashed the HK protests easily without having to use military force. also keep in mind that tiktok is 100% owned by chinks, and start questioning why those nurses all of a sudden started making those annoying tiktok dance videos. then they stopped. and the news completely shifted to blm chimpout. now suddenly we don't hear anymore horror stories about people dying in NYC or Italy from the goyvid. strange, huh

something fucky is afoot. of course china is involved. largest economy in the world, also the fakest.
