Why does everyone keep repeating the time traveller crap?

It pumped because there were also rumors of the announcement of a new partnership on the 14th. Friday came and nothing happened, if you didn't get out and/or bought at the top without the hype materialising then you deserve to watch your value vanish back to 0.035 or worse.

Gotta admit though, it's always beautiful to witness a new generation of bagholders being born. And the funniest part is, when eth tries one last bull run at the end of the month, many of them will get cocky and fail to take profits / cut losses AGAIN. Then they'll have to baghold for months until whenever the metropolis update starts materialising.
