1959758 No.1959758 [Reply] [Original]

How much would it cost to fund a breeding program for upright-walking cats?

It's one of the first things I would spend part of my 1st billion on.

They would still be able to walk on 4 legs of course.
I'd also breed them for maximum intelligence.

No fucking way there's enough liquidity to get out with any sizeable profit on a billion-dollar crypto investment.

What I'm saying is, there are already cats who can stand upright.
Surely it must be possible to select for cats that walk upright.

I guess it would take 30 years to get some results, hiring the 2 best breeders, 2 geneticists and 1 bioligist full-time, plus facility costs, food, etc...
so maybe 1,000,000 USD/year
or 30,000,000 USD total

Not that much for a really cool new cat breed.

I dunno, a cat that stands on its hind legs all the time sounds like it'd be liable to health problems. Probably digestive or chiropractic problems. But thats just my gut feeling.

Just get a pinguin instead.

I am pretty positive we'd be able to create a breed of dog who could communicate effectively with language, using the same proceedures.

Thing is, who wants a dog who constantly follows you around, saying "Feed Me" and "Can I fuck it?" a thousand times a day?
