Buying land from prev.

Yeah i meant water rights are scammy in how crazy valuable they are and how pumping water can be free.

Would you buy a random large lot somewhere with hopes of future tech making it a nice.livable.thing? space internet etc.?

Id obv need to do a lot more research but in lieu of real estate Id love a land portion of portfolio

Covered call plays for this weeks earnings.
Ticker, Price, Rating, Strike, Premium as % of current price
PLAY 18.89, Bearish, 19.0C 12.4%
GME 4.14, Bearish, 4.5C 7.2%
CHWY 48.44, No rating, 48.5C 6.4%
PLCE 52.16, Bearish, 55.0C 5.7%

I think CHWY has the best upside, literally everyone is ordering for their pets from them.
PLAY has the biggest downside, they still aren't open and are basically still fucked.
GME who the fuck knows but keep this in mind: Short % of Float (May 15, 2020) = 251.30%

I was actually going to switch to democrats in 2018 when I saw Trump treating those immigrants like shit at the border, but now I can't vote for the democrats when they are pretty much supporting riots and protests that have killed people and destroyed businesses. And wanting to get rid of the police is just too much for me. I don't like the police either, but if someone breaks into my house, as someone who is anti gun, I rely on the police to help. >how could there not be a massive dump soon?
Because the Fed, Treasury, Congress, and Executive have committed to ultra-easy money policies. The rally is being driven by retail investors and hedge funds too, so there aren't whales in the market right now to dump on everyone. What this means is that there won't be a dump until the next panic moment, most likely a default wave that starts crushing financials similar to 2008.

A second wave is inevitable. The whole point of lockdown wasn't to eradicate the virus, it was to free up resources at medical facilities so that it's a steady stream of incoming patients and not a crashing wave.

That said, I don't think the second wave will make a meaningful difference in terms of the markets. Businesses can stay open now because the danger of spread is lessened if hospitals have the capacity for it. There are plenty of other abnormal behaviors in the economy if you want to make the bear case (coming to the end of PPP terms, unemployment still above 16% and likely to stay above 10% for the rest of the year, how the FED is going to raise rates or slow printing without fucking someone up, etc).

Not sure. Picked them up this year because they seemed the most solid and I knew how earnings would play due to working in the field (outside the US). Saw their financials (before and after) and they seemed great. They have a pretty good assets-to-liabilities ratio and they revenue + margin is increasing year-to-year which means managment is doing a good job.

I've gone through a similar process. I was a lifelong democrat (29 yo now). For me, it was a combination of two things. First, Dems being openly upset about the good Trump economy; saying it'd be better if the economy was bad so that Trump couldn't benefit from it (clearly they didn't care about Americans' well-being as much as their own political control).

The final straw for me was the disgraceful Kavanaugh hearings, where half of democrats seemed to think that he was a rapist, and the other half were willing to pretend that they thought he was. I've been very disillusioned by the Dems, who I once called my party, for a while now. I'm no longer surprised by anything, including their flop from calling for the strictest corona lock-downs, to supporting mass gatherings of protesters/rioters/looters.

some anon was in here about... maybe 3 months ago talking about it coming from Aetna. I think he was in a high five figure salary and survived the merger, but found that CVS was trying to run the insurer like a retail corporation, not a financial institution, which was resulting in some poor managerial decisions and resulted in shedding talent from many levels. He was working on moving out to another company at the time of posting. I think Aetna will be fine, but i have feelings it might flop around like IBM and OXY. just my two cents.

I never did any trading before
I decided to try it out because of the Corona dip and the Oil price being lowered.
put £300 pounds in a few things and leave it there for a few weeks
I'm £400 pound up.

I think it did good for my first attempt but this does feel like gambling. I only did it because the dip was an easy jumping on point.
what should I do now?

Everybody I've been talking to has told me to stay out of GUSH. A solid friend who works for Goldman told me to stay the fuck out of GUSH.

I'm staying out of GUSH.

The first one's free.

If I could tell my younger trading self one thing, be smart. $500-$1000 weekly or monthly gains are far better than $10,000 daily gain then $22,000 margin call end of month.

When you're first seeing success, stick with leaps and market buys. Don't get into weeklies until your account is up 1000% and you can afford to play a little.

I don't understand permabears, you cry about the Fed manipulating the market for 12yrs, we get a little crash, the Fed comes out and says "you ain't seen nothing yet, we're going to pump this fucker to Mars!" and then you stupid fuckers cry when the pumps happen!

Why does someone being bearish mean that there a perma bear? Speaking for myself at least, I play both sides of the market. Anybody who hasn't huffed the fucking hopium is a bear right now. It's the LOGICAL bias to have GIVEN THE CURRENT CIRCUMSTANCES. The only people who are perma anything ITT are you idiot fucking perma bull who thinks that the fed hyperinflating the shit out of everything means that the market is fundamentally worth more than it was back in February. You'll learn tomorrow, there no such thing as easy money. Also, BOBO
