I just found out I was laid off from my commercial bank Analyst job.

>another year until I'm done with my mba

Depends how in demand your skill set is.
I was laid off from Boeing and was forced to be a janitor to avoid the layoff.
Worth it because there's 10,000 aerospace workers laid off and looking for work.
That and another million jobs wrecked from the virus.
Too much competition

Boeing has amazing wages.
I wasn't maxed at Grade 4 yet, so it's only a $1.5 pay cut.
Janitors work maybe 4 hrs a day and slack off the rest.
Alone most of the day.
