Because it was run by a scamming gook who lied and hyped his way to $25 a coin. Coinbase mafia holding huge bags and got the coinbase listing right before the bullrun to minimize loses and bleed on retail. Fucking retards didn't learn from 2017 and are eating the same thai shit in 2020.

everything this guy said was bullshit. It’s got a private mainnet for developers and it’s currently very close to having a public mainnet. We’re talking about scaling ETH to 4000k TPS, and this is also a staking coin too with tons of real world companies attaches to the project thanks to OMG’s parent company Omise.

god this is so fucking retarded

I bought OMG bags HARD back in 2017. I got about 10,000 of them, and I bought fairly close to the top. I think I wound up losing around 50k.

I was such a big believer in the project I LITERALLY JOINED THEM, not in Thailand, but remotely. There was some interesting shit in their private channels, but for the most part these people are who they seem to be: mostly retarded thai gooks who barely understand anything.

The idea that anything will come from this shit coin is truly astonishing. I visit the subreddit occasionally and I'm just flabbergasted people still buy into this. It's really given me perspective on the sheer amount of idiocy in the world.

Coinbase listings don't matter anymore. The Plasma paper was a pump. Crypto is effectively dead as far as "moon shots" are concerned.

NOT EVEN THE ETHREUM CONNECTION IS RELEVANT ANYMORE. I can't believe I'm even back on this board.

CB is happy to list it so ETH holders get access to their airdropped OMG. These guys aren't angels, remember how they listed ETC so they could sell off their holdings.

But on OMG, just have a look at this audit from earlier in the year, it's a complete mess: https://diligence.consensys.net/audits/2020/01/omisego-morevp/

>Update: As with any highly-complex system, it is impossible to account for every possibility before launching. Our review was primarily concerned with the plasma smart contracts as the critical point of infrastructure, but left other important components nearly untouched. Of particular note is the implementation of the child chain watcher (and its integration with the plasma chain), which serves as a crucial safeguard for users during production.

>Our review uncovered several issues in a highly complex codebase, and more were uncovered by OmiseGo’s development team during the engagement. We highly recommend proceeding with caution: rather than pushing immediately for a full-scale production release, a testnet, public bug bounty, limited release, or a combination of all of these would allow OmiseGo to work out the kinks of the system before it reaches critical mass.
