While i think harmony had a good idea, its fucked now. Binance just joined with staking and has effectivley done what Harmony set out to avoid. The staking is now only for whales, binance has made the entry to running a validator around $20,000 at current prices. They also delegated to validators of their choosing. Essentially the whole of the validators are at the mercy of if binance chooses them or not. The network is now becoming centralized rather than decentralized.

Its not that black and white. More percentage staked is also good for network. And its not like how it currrently runs is the final version.
They are already looking into solutions to make it easier for validators

Ultimately, i like that they are live. That is basically the only way to really learn how things play out. And teams intention is clear to build towards decentralization.

Are you retarded? They will tweak the staking mechanism via rolling updates until something works. It’s easy because it’s still centralized. That’s something eth cannot do
