I hate US oil industry, its fake and gay and full of lies (just like majority of US mkt tbqh, just fairytales and promises of bright future with debts today). However, there are two options here till end of year:
>WTI goes down/holds
probable scenario, US industry is unprofitable at these levels HOWEVER, this just means bankruptcies and consolidations, so since US has a lot of potential in shale and its the only country with tech to expand on (cuz nobody else works that hard to extract oil) big boys are going to grow by acquisitions and gibs.
unless USoA collapses completely which I doubt

Reasons the stock market will tank by the end of this year:

The stock market is currently overvalued according to the Buffet Indicator
Q3 and Q4 earnings will drop due to decreased purchasing due to coronavirus
US debt going up due to fed pumping and having difficulty paying it off due to drop in GDP because of the virus
Unemployment rate skyrocketing - similar to what was caused by the great depression
Both the long and short term debt cycles are due to end
Wealth inequality reaching a high similar to that of around the great depression (see pic)

Genuinely interested as to whether anyone has any legitimate counters to these points. If I don't get any I might make a thread with this post later.

Money in the hands of lower class people is good for business because they are primary consumers who buy product and move the economy instead of being frugal investors and profiteers.

Taking money away from them decreases movement in the economy, lowers the quality of community funded activities, charity, and other organizations that solve problems nobody else will.

How much have you donated to charity last year? That is not a sound investment to you, but we all profit from others donating to various organizations.

Nobody ever went broke turning a profit and hindsight is 20/20. Don't predict the market, don't time the market. Just make sound non-emotional decisions.

help me out. I want to start throwing my hat into option trading penny stocks, and am just going to start with a few bucks. I read a post before how calling an option on a particular stock with 15 dollars could have made you 96k, and although thats probably a one in a million I don't think it would hurt to try since I have nothing else going for me anyways.

I have no clue how to actually start option trading though. What platform allows you to start without having to apply for it? I know fidelity for example has requirements in the capital of your account and other brokers do this as well, and there are applications you need to fill out. What do you guys use? Robinhood?

UNLESS something drastic happens like multiple states having breakouts of new waves (COVID-19) which I highly doubt will happen.

People are restless and they want to get out. And most will realize it's not going to affect in adversely.

So yeah, the market's still going to be insanely bullish OVER TIME (especially with all the new investors).. just remember to keep buying in while DCAing. Don't forget to take your realized gains every few weekends though so you can buy back in before +3% openings on Mondays.

it's super simple. There's no underlying real value for us to be where we at even now. If we go higher theres even bigger disconnect between reality and price. Once we reach previous high (IF we reach it) there's no resistance because there's no underlying value that got us there and since we mooned through everything on nothing probability of us going a bit higher is extremely high... People who bought in Feb and beginnig of March are currently down. after ATH there is nobody below break even and if short sellers still exist they have to cover. I did similar thing beginning of the year cruising with dumb bulls and SP over 3000, I didnt get out at exact top, I could made double my money but the risk reward on such play is just great.
