I'm no expert but correct me if I'm wrong: trading on small swings multiple times a day with small amounts of money should be rather easy, right? Crypto swings a lot faster than normal, you could trade on 1-2% gains many times a day even on rather large volume coins, right?

So as long as your trades are small (e.g. less than $10k), you should be able to do so without affecting the market too much. Of course if you get up to larger sums then you can't just dump your bags on 1% trades since there just won't be the buys for it.

Am I correct in thinking that if you surrender the "OH GOD IT WILL GO UP 1000X IN 5 MINUTES HODL" bullshit you could quite easily turn 100 into 1000, assuming you don't get stuck when BTC dumps (or pumps, if you're shorting)?

What you are suggesting is 100% doable althought the 2% number shouldn't be set in stone. Idk what trading fees are on IDEXes but any profitable trade under 2% should be capitalized on. I would do Atomic Arbitrage Bot trading. Its not a gimmick or a trick, it adds liquidity to pairs and is a necessary for markets to proper function. DEFI is still the wild west so to speak and whoever gets does atomic arbitrage trading now before it gets saturated or too many regulations pop up will make a metric fuck ton of money over the next couple years.

I was recently reading about AAVE and flash loans. You could hypothetically make a bot that scours IDEXes for potential arbitrage. Everything is on-chain, and thus a smart contract do arbitrage all resolves at the same time. With flashloans if the smart contract realizes you won't have enough funds to pay back the loan, the entire transaction cancels, although you would lose the ETH gas fees.

Its basically guaranteed arbitrage done via smartcontracts. You can program it to not resolve unless a profit is earned. Its honestly incredible when you think about it.

I don't have the ability to code although I could try and learn I suppose, but I understand the process or mechanism behind it. My next thought was well what if there was an IDEX that had bots running doing this on-chain arbitrage 24/7 and all I had to do was invest in their token as a pool to get a portion of the profits. That would be a lucrative proposition for sure. It does exist, its called the Saturn Network, however it seems kind of scammy and unfortunately their exchange has almost zero traffic. It seems more or less dead. I think this idea could easily be the next 1000x after LINK if executed properly for sure.
