For what? Background music to complement the atmosphere like in a movie or vg? For people that actually know how to listen to music - actively, not passively - it’s something more than just entertainment. Active listeners, music lovers, get it and are stimulated by it. For passive listeners, it’s just the sonic equivalent of a painting for someone who doesn’t feel much for art; pretty to look at, but you wouldn’t want it to be the entire focus for an extended period of time.
Most people that claim to “like” music will be the same that will talk during a sit-down concert.
