This is what i fear. I have bought things before and been excited about them for maybe a few weeks and now they're collecting dust. I used to play drums in high school and college but I worry about buying and using them for a while and then they just sit in a corner. I would suggest a cheap compromise. Buy yourself just the snare, couple hundred bucks no big deal. Start getting your rudiments down pat, if you give up, you didn't waste much. If you keep going just add in piece by piece, get the bass, then high hat etc. Meanwhile stack sats, vits, and sergs.
