Anybody here with experience in selling puts and covered calls?
The cov call is pretty straightforward in that I chose the price to have a net profit upon being assigned but What price do I chose for the puts? IVs vary greatly for different strikes.
Is there a way to get a trailing “volatility” score for a stock that somehow allows you to price put strikes so you can try to roll forward a couple contracts without being assigned?

Any good resources to get me started are much appreciated.

How can you compare this shit to 2008? Economy was fucking stronger than ever and 2months of forced lock downs lead to a panic, fucking massive panic. Things are going back to normal and stock market will go back to ATH.

Solely for the reason that we have 0% interests rates and massive boomer QE to inflate the stock market even further.

When it pumps like this, all I can think is "oh good, so when it goes down it will most likely have higher lows and find support at an increasing distance away from my entry point"

I know that if I was able to time it right and sell when it was high and buy when it dips, that I could make even more money up and down the uptrend, but I just have a hard time having confidence in my ability to call peaks and dips.

Think about trimming and rotating. Depending on your trading ideas. Assuming you want to actually trade you probably know the catalyst for each position and can adjust.

It's less about timing everything and just generally getting it correct over time. Not actually hitting every movement.

AKA this stock I like got hit today and the other upgraded today. I'll rotate out by trimming the upgraded stock a little and buy the hit stock up a little.

The guvment is going to have to buy trillions more in bonds and every one of those bonds is going to get swapped for cash.
