0xMonero (0xMR) is a mineable privacy focused project on Ethereum. The project is a month old, is fairly mineable with an older model CPU or GPU, and has no pre-mine. They are building and implementing privacy solutions for Ethereum including:

A mixer
A zkSNARKS mixer
A zkSNARKS wrapper
A native privacy contract swap
0xMonero is currently traded on Saturn.Network, and Bamboorelay.com

https://0xMonero.com

Market cap is only $140k

If you can't make your own smart contract you sure aren't making those. How much did you pre-mined?

You are being disingenuous and deceitful. The 0xMonero contract follows the EIP 918 standard. The mining contract exists for fair distribution of the token. A zkERC20 contract will allow first layer privacy.

Listen, I can tell you hold 0xBitcoin. 0xMR is not a competitor of 0xBTC, so there is no need to bash it. 0xBTC is focused on being Bitcoin on Ethereum. 0xMR is focused on bringing privacy to Ethereum. They are completely different use cases.

Admit it, you just copy & paste the 0xBTC code, can't even properly clean up the multiple references to 0xBTC and they're in your smart contract FOREVER.
Now you try to bash on Monero but the truth is you don't know how to implement it .

They really did it, the one idea stupider than 0xbtc. I'm going to make my own coin and shill it too, same guaranteed 0x. I'll call in 0xeth. It's a mineable ethereum on the ethereum blockchain. I will lie and say it's going to do more than 0x their money though. Marketing is the trick here.

As far as I am aware, no one has complained that 0xMR is using the open source EIP 918 standard. Additionally there are half a dozen other projects using this standard. There is no beef between the two projects. Like I said, many of the 0xMR miners and holders come from the 0xBTC.

Why not just make these things building on top of 0xBTC instead of redeploying the same contract? It's inviting these questions about a premine and why another token is needed. One of the major points of 0xBitcoin is that it's a bitcoin-like token natively for Ethereum that was designed to be easily expanded upon for use in dapps. There's nothing wrong with cloning 0xBTC to make another ERC-918, but why make a new token to support forthcoming contracts that could have been developed for 0xBTC in the first place, which already has fair distribution and an established community? This just invites problems imo
Not a criticism just legit inquiry. Good luck!

>> No.19177644

>>19177584
you could also have it be merge-mined and that would be a lot more interesting than asking people to divide their hash power. I see no reason the privacy contracts wouldn't work and it would avoid falling into the old hole of making a token for every project and a cluttered landscape

>> No.19178008

>>19177584
0xBTC is simply focused on being Bitcoin on Ethereum. 0xMonero is working to bring privacy to Ethereum. The projects have completely different goals and use cases. I don't see 0xBTC ever implementing privacy features, if they did, they wouldn't be Bitcoin on Ethereum and could open themselves up to another project taking their usecase. The last I checked they were building an exchange. It would be great to see the two projects collaborate on that in some capacity.

Additionally, I should reiterate that 0xMR is the mining contract for the first layer privacy contract.
