I don’t understand either. My knowledge of crypto a week ago was legit just from attending some lectures at university.
Got bored of quarantine and put some money into crypto last week on saturday.
Bought chainlink because of the memes, immediately regretted it and bought 100 esh at 0.95 usd.
Also bought 1900 xio at 0.11 yesterday too. Sold at 0.26 today.
I‘m making legit tripling my money rn. Total noob too. Why are all these altcoins exploding?

Remember the first Binance IEO in 2018 with BTT? Then moonboi faggots spent the whole rest of the year hurting themselves chasing every other IEO listing that came out. Until they all roped after buying into ONE at 300 sats.

It's always that one out-of-nowhere moon that sets the picture for future FOMO and shitcoin chasing. Usually one or two legit megamoons a year that happen absolutely out of nowhere, or better yet, that in retrospect look like inevitabilities (like BTT). Then you kick yourself for missing out and swear an oath to not let the next one get away. Then the shitcoin squadron takes turns draining you like a pinata until you exit penniless.

Unironically this is the start of a golden bullrun. 6 shitcoins made 3x+ within a month, majority within a week. 4/6 were complete pnd scams but a couple (ESH including no matter how trash it is) were legit bull pumps coupled with pnd that increased FOMO again. This is how it was in 2017, and it is starting again. Just look at the questions in all these threads — these gucking newfags are learning how to use uniswap. Learning!
