he has 0 affinity for tech and doesn't understand details like those should be adjusted only when there's a realistic prospect of need. it will take way less effort to make bitcoin use higher decimals WHEN needed, than the amount of computing power / ledger size etc. it saves that it only uses 8 decimals for now, when 1 satoshi costs 1 hundredth of a cent.
