blockchain is fine
smart contracts are fine (if they can self execute, ETH cannot)

crypto is honest money

it has to be fungible, therefore it has to have on chain privacy

it has to be decentralized and mined with common hardware, for it to be a commodity

BTC is none of those

we moon end of 2022 first half of 2023

>1 year
speculative price bubble without really a functioning product
>5 year
DeFi robust, usable, ethereum scales, bitcoin being challenged hard by ethereum community (similar marketcap share)
>10 year
Corporate adoption, Ethereum number 1, Bitcoin either moves to PoS or dies, People are used to having a bit of crypto lying around because they've seen the bullshit central banks implode
>20 year
pretty much embedded in society, running in the background for pretty much all supply chains, transactions, etc. Everyone owns crypto, white collar jobs are completely sucked dry, only a few law firms left, investment banks completely emptied out of the excess bankers, 4iR in full swing
probably will see UBI and whatnot for the levels of automation we will see across the aging economy (see Japan)

Basically LINK. If you paid attention to the new slides you know what they have planned. You don't choose the blockchain platform and then use Chainlink oracles. You choose Chainlink and based on your security/speed/etc requirements, Chainlink chooses the blockchain platform. It's all gonna be under Chainlink.

The BTC block chain becomes the de facto ledger of wealth in the world. All other crypto use cases die, since all of it is based on the idea that a distrubuted network of volunteers would form a better platform for defi than the bespoke platforms being developed by real finance companies. The problem in the smart contract world is not that people don’t trust the integrity of the big companies to run their contracts, making the role for cryptographically ensured, distributed platforms for this use case moot.
