https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Philosopher%27s_stone
>The philosopher's stone, more properly philosophers' stone or stone of the philosophers (Latin: lapis philosophorum) is a legendary alchemical substance capable of turning base metals such as mercury into gold (chrysopoeia, from the Greek χρυσός khrusos, "gold", and ποιεῖν poiēin, "to make") or silver. It is also called the elixir of life, useful for rejuvenation and for achieving immortality; for many centuries, it was the most sought goal in alchemy. The philosophers' stone was the central symbol of the mystical terminology of alchemy, symbolizing perfection at its finest, enlightenment, and heavenly bliss. Efforts to discover the philosophers' stone were known as the Magnum Opus ("Great Work").[1]

Even if this were attempted, it would be rejected by the nodes that secure the network. They play the role of miners more or less.
Their ability to vote is dependent on there being 130,000 Nano directed towards their address. This can be community directed or self directed. Either way, it is costly or makes the node dependent on community acceptance. This way Nano achieves a democratic consensus model using representatives that can be voted in or out with the touch of a button through the wallet of the holders.

I don't ever see that happening without it causing a fork. Those who run nodes and those who hold sizable voting powers would never enact changes to the protocol that threaten the long term success of the network. It would be like shooting oneself in the foot.

As long as there are fees, a network cannot fully support a microtransactional economy. You are not thinking small enough if even a fraction of a penny must be spent. Agreed 100x over. This is very important, not just for psychological means, but for machine2machine payments, especially of the microtransaction kind.

I envision an economy where microtransactions are taking place as often as data transfers take place currently. For instance, you want to order some chicken tendies, so you purchase from GrubHub paying with Nano, your payment then is split upon the point of purchase to the company preparing your food, where it is then immediately split between the staff and chef, then the tip % is held for the delivery driver to be released upon the arrival of the goods, and a % of this tip goes to fuel self driving vehicle and those who are renting it to the driver, of which a % of this goes to the GPS and map/route directing company that handles the direction and navigation of the vehicle.

There are a lot of various transactions which are currently only handled in bulk, paychecks being given out every 2 weeks for example, or product/services obtained in large batches... much of this is done to avoid paying excess fees that result on a per transaction basis.

I don't think I am doing this justice trying to explain it, so instead I paint an analogy. Shipping is done similarly because each shipment is expensive and costly. Therefore cargo containers are filled to max capacity to cut costs, and the amount of shipments is reduced in favor of large bulk transfers. Imagine the differences that would result, beginning even overnight, if suddenly there was zero cost and zero wait for sending product internationally. It is the equivalent of a teleportation device. The middle man is cut out directly or his significance is drastically reduced. Because now when you want something, you simply click on a button, and there it is.

Depends on when and if I work up the balls to close my company and become a full time dev or not. I think as soon as we start seeing some killer apps that utilize Nano it will moon like crazy. Maybe before then. I have been holding Nano all throughout the past 2 years, and have been posting about it here and there throughout this time. I will say one thing I noticed, that I do believe I caught the attention of a large whale once, and we increased in value over 200% in a matter of days, if not a single day. I don't recall the exact numbers or time, but it was significant, and seemed extremely linked to my post of the day... so chances are as soon as one or two of the BTC whales come over to our side.

I don't like to be waiting on something outside of myself to save me, and prefer to take matters into my own hands, developing something like an eBay or Amazon that utilizes Nano/XMR/BTC/ETH for starters, but I am fairly confident that once the ball starts rolling, it will be a race to get in as fast as possible. It has been a blessing to my fellow anons with Link increasing so much in value. I have fortunately come into wealth through my own means. But now that all is said and done, even those who remained neets can join in and take advantage of the promise BTC made, that will be fulfilled by its progeny, Nano. The heir to the throne.

Keep up the good energy boys and we can ride this bad boy to 9k sats today np. One thing I noticed, is that the volume dropped massively this last year, we are down to a measly 40 BTC per day on Binance! This is Nano, not a random shitcoin, we used to top ETH in terms of volume. Notice how as soon as the volume shifts above the 40 BTC per day median, we start seeing 10%+ price movements upwards. This isn't TA, but is rather just pattern acknowledgement. We are and have been fucking sold out for a while now. There really isn't much Nano left to purchase. Once we break 1k BTC 24 hour volume, expect some serious fucking movement, and a possible exponential growth as a lot of people have been eyeing Nano during its bear market. The question has always been when and where is the bottom. I am pretty confident we have reached it.

Go to http://themeforest.net, purchase or download a free template for wordpress that you like. Do some mild HTML editing and replace the paypal/stripe/etc. plugin with the http://brainblocks.io payment gateway for nano. Now unleash your creation onto the world.

Some ideas of my own: Music streaming, Video streaming, Pay per download for (x) content that is not easily obtained for free, ecommerce website where you can sell whatever the fuck you want, social media, meme distribution, multi-vendor marketplace (ebay, amazon), a Fiverr type network where people post jobs and tasks....

What I think would really help would be something that allows people to obtain Nano who would otherwise not purchase it. Create a small localized economy. This is how Germany saved its economy after WW1 with the Reichsmark. Lots of people are out of jobs. Creating an environment where people can pay or request nano for services/items would be pretty useful I think. Since it is decentralized there could be no limits to what is sold.

Something like OnlyFans with Nano would also be a great idea. Especially as the banks are keen on regulating and destroying the ability for services like this to accept payments. Nano is the logical conclusion.

It is inevitable.

Another idea would be a simple community forum for cross-game transfers. Nano could serve as a platform agnostic currency used to transfer between different game services. (Think WoW gold in exchange for CS:GO skins). Money can be made anywhere there is improvement to be made. Anytime you can make someone's life easier, there is room for profit. Some of these services may very well end up being the next eBay and Amazon of our day, assuming crypto and nano as well assume their rightful roles.

btw, for this pic, the game client actually uses fully confirmed nano as the in game currency. When an NPC is killed and nano is gained in game, the actual wallet attached to the player's ID also increases count. Same deal when spending it. Needless to say, this creates a whole new ecosystem for game worlds, and moves them one step closer to integration with our own.

I have to laugh at the hypocrisy. This is a Nano thread. You are not a Nano poster. Nano has been in the top 50 for longer than xdag has even existed. xdag is a non name, low cap, unheard of project. We are in Nano because we know that it works, and we know it is the future.

Please go make a new post about your cryptocurrency in your own thread, where it will garnish zero attention, and then you will realize who the pajeet really is.

No, xdag is. No one wants a centralized distribution model.

Notice how the nano shill can't form an argument, and must resort to reaction images. Nano is a dead project that had centralized distribution.

No, the future is minable, feeless, and private.
XDAG is still working on privacy, you know, they have actual developers.

You haven't been able to answer the question about centralized distribution, you keep posting unoriginal reaction images. Did you buy at $37.00?

>> No.19135855

Well, since you asked nicely, Kohai, I have been DCA'ing for a while now. There is zero reason to believe the initial distribution was abused. It is similar to the initial mining of BTC. For all we know, Satoshi mined a lot more than 1 million. The difference here is, Satoshi is anonymous. The Nano foundation is not. Be it them, or others, the initial supply was distributed. It doesn't change much for me or anyone else holding. The coins are out there and the market decides what happens from then on.

Just like this thread? You nano shills needed to die off in early 2018.

Satoshi did it for testing purposes, you & that one nano dev are not Satoshi. raiblock's centralized distribution is because the developers couldn't make a minable DAG (well a block lattice but who really cares about it anymore) unlike xdag, an original C implementation which has decentralized distribution via mining. It's also fee-less.

I hope you will, anon. Nano is dead, move on.
