Guys, why doesn't 4chan /biz have featured shitty dump and pump stocks of the day rather than just fairy dust cryptocurrencies? Everybody could have a good day if we can collective decide when to stop buying after attracting enough investors, not from 4chan, who want in on the action.

are stocks publically traded?

the only way they'd find out is if one or more bagholders decided to file a complaint. Then they'd have the chore of tracing your activity back to you. Then they'd have the much easier task of trying and convicting you.

this could happen in crypto as well, but so far it isn't common.

There is not enough buying power on /biz/ to P&D anything. Go to Robinhood General some time and you will see that most of the penny traders here have less than $5000 each.
Besides that, the suggestion was specifically to trick outsiders into jumping in, which is an illegal pump & dump scheme.
