Did IPO in US to get around chink laws. So they created a shell company in Cayman Islands to do it. Had (((Goldman))) give them a loan. Defaulted on it.

Basically everyone who invested is fucked.

Here's why you don't invest in China:

When you get burned, and oh you'll get burned, they will blame it on you, and try to gaslight you into thinking it's America's fault you got burned.

It's a 5000 year old history of doing it too, you think we would've learned by now.
I laugh at burgers who say
>itz bcuz they're commiez
Nah they've always been like that. Taiwan only changed because they have given up being China at all.

I think Luckin will come back. Its a huge company and is still operating strong in China. They will work something out and it will be back online. Probably will bounce back to 20 a share EOY.

> But investors in Luckin likely failed to understand that they were not buying a piece of the company that sells lattes across China. That company is based in China and is Chinese owned. Instead, investors were purchasing shares of a shell company set up in the Cayman Islands under something called a Variable Interest Entity structure, or VIE.
