If you're not prepared for a loss then why are you gambling?

I'm pretty sure I was in tons of these threads telling people that if they put DOGE or BTC into PND then they're taking a risk since it could go either way, but I guess all you guys saw was the money you didn't even have yet.

If you wanna do something for it then come up with an idea, act on it and then bring it here for others to work with. It's not hard.

You know i was having this idea of an informal/crude form of an exchange which works as shown in the following example

lets say persons A and B respectively have X altcoin and Y altcoin. A wants to exchange his X coins for Y coins and B wants to exchange his Y coin.

A and B cant do this in their crypto exchanges because their exchanges only trade their coins with BTC.

A and B realise they can exchange coins with each other but either dont know how to trust each other and are afraid the other one wont send them the coins after they would

Solution would be an Exchange made for A and B where A would deposit his X coins and B would deposit his Y coins and the Exchange would confirm the deposit of both X and Y coins by A and B.

Then the exchange gives B the X coins he wanted and A the Y coins he wanted. If either A or B fail to deposit their coins then the transaction/exchange is canceled and the person(s) who deposited their respective coins can now withdraw it from the exchange and look for someone else to exchange with.

This is not a new idea and is applied to a lot of fiat payment systems. However i thought this would be helpful to

1. People with new coins that havent made it to the exchange yet but know interested parties willing to trade their existing coin with new coin

2. People in exchanges that only trade their altcoin with BTC and not the coin they want

3. Slightly paranoid people who just want to make a quick exchange

Thoughts?

A lot of the value given to altcoins is the fact that Bitcoin serves as their anchor in terms of valuing the coin, being the most valuable. Yeah you can trade between X and Y and the value of a coin is what you give it, but for fairness sake the value of the altcoins being traded should be fixed on a certain value so that everyone knows the value of one coin over another or else you'll deal with a lot of price fluctuations and people will be to scared to trade.

Exchange has to confirm A deposited his X altcoins in the X wallet of exchange

Exchange has to confirm B deposited his Y altcoins in the wallet

When both are confirmed Exchange informs A to give Y coin wallet address to withdraw and informs B to give X wallet address to withdraw which they may do at their convenience

If either A or B fail to deposit their coins within a stipulated time period A and B both can withdraw their coins from the exchnage to the adddresses they give to the exchange

No no no

exchange is not public, its not even an exchange as we know it..

Its a middle man that both parties can trust.

The middleman takes from A and takes from B based on the agreement of A and B outside of the middlemman

Noone has to know what price aA and B agreed to. The prices are not made public and is not meant to affect the price of other exchanges

have you guys not heard of this secuure payment concept elsewhere?

Let me tell you where i got this idea from in the first place so you understand the idea more clearly

In my country's version of ebay, customers dont trust the sellers and vice versa so a 3rd party payment service was introduced

This 3rd party service provider would take payment from the customer. Upon confirming the customer has given them money it would ask the seller to send the item the customer purchased for delivery.

If the customer does not receive his item within a stipulated time , the customer would inform the 3rd party payment provider that he has not received his item. The 3rd party would then return the payment to the customer so he wouldnt have to worry about losing money for something he didnt even get

I want to apply this to crypto exchange where both parties dont have to fear losing ther coins of they want to exchange it for some other coin

I just wanted a 3rd party site where 2 parties who discussed their exchange can deposit their coins and when confirmation of bboth deposits aree made then both get the coins they agreed upon. If either fails to deposit then noone has to lose their coins and they can take it back

You dont have to make the amounts public just to the users involved
