What are some realistic(or optimistic/pessimistic) expectations for how much 1 LINK can net you in staking a year.

Hmm doubtful. Its okay to admit you were to late to get on the train(its actually not too late but you're too stupid to know that).

all these oldfag projections arent that unrealistic but that's under the assumption that the economy is fully integrated to handle smart contracts and moves like these are inherently chaotic that will cost a lot of money to rework existing infrastructure and takes a lot of time

2025-2030

the worse the world becomes the more chainlink will be used.

If only we had a middleware that allowed legacy infrastructure to interact with the blockchain -and thus allow them to participate in the new ecosystem- without having to make a lot of changes saving a few hundred billion dollars for the big fishes in the process...

You have to keep in mind that staking will pay more for the more you have in. So just because you double your stack, doesnt mean the your returns on staking will double. They might 2.5x or something. I think at worst a 8% yearly roi is fair and reasonable. Multiply your stack by whatever you think a reasonable price is on link(I think 50$ this year is within the realm of possibility, 500$ in the next 3 years) and multiply that by .08 to get what your returns would look like per year. Adjust the percentage upwards if you think you have a fat enough stack to get a premium.

Also forgot to mention, take a point or two off the percent if you're gonna be using a pool.
