Rocketpool will be the de facto staking method for all batches of ETH that are lower than 32 (including whales running their own nodes with the bulk of their stack - it will simply make financial sense for any amount of ETH they have left that isn't a multiple of 32 to stake or run a node on Rocketpool).

They just confirmed they'll have staking in place. Which makes sense as the fundamental infrastructure needed is the same. Nothing's settling them from also creating and IOU token like rETH.
