How retarded do you even have to BE? REITs are a next-year or longer play. They're being kept alive by gibs for now. Wait until the aftermath tells us how many businesses and people can't afford rent anymore and then get into REITs.

It's not really green though. The YTD S&P map still shows that masses of wealth have accumulated at the feet of too-big-to-fail businesses like AMZN and MSFT. The rest of the market is still sitting somewhere, on average, near the bottom.

Nobody wants to make any moves because there's so much shit going on. It's honestly smarter to be frozen right now than to play this, even overnight swings are dangerous, especially when so much of the movement is occuring through the AH and Pre-market movement. I don't have future-guy's chart, but it does a good job of showing this shit.

There's just a lot of cascades and people want to watch the first big domino come collapsing down, I reckon. Like auto loans, or REITs being crippled with rent moratoriums. Substantial resurgence is a possibility, and regardless of the severity of the disease, will still cause effects. Trade wars on multiple fronts, as well. Oil isn't done with, and neither is CN. It's an election year as well. But there's a lot of disruptive shit that's happened, too. If WFH becomes more prolific, and that suppresses oil demand, for example. Or social distancing becomes habitual, restaurants/clubs will suffer.

If you have 0% interest and a decent cash back rate, you can walk this fine line and possibly come out pretty good with this strategy. People who hate credit cards simply have no discipline, but not everyone can’t manage them. This is especially aggressive but I’m optimistic you can pull it off, just make sure you either have the cash to pay the full balance at the end of the promo period or can at least liquidate some equities to cover it when the time comes. Biggest risk is the market collapses further but all indications are that we saw the bottom in March. Got to do what you go to do when we have a once in a generation chance to buy at these levels before the switch gets flipped back on.

It's not the right timing for energy now, both nat gas (big businesses still closed so most demand is not there, plus it's summer soon) and oil (obvious reasons). I would sell both right now and get back into oil after the 19th (because contango).
Credit companies are a relatively safe play, keep the positions. Other than that, there aren't many particularly safe options because the classically safe (tech mostly) is currently far overpriced and WILL, 100% of the time, correct downward. However there are some holdouts like KO. Lurk and check what people mention in these threads for more of these and remember to do your didlies.
I would recommend tankers as well but inform yourself and decide on your own if you think that's a good idea. Tankers are a medium-term play. Now is the time to buy (before the 19th), and they will be good for the rest of the year, should rocket off, AND give massive dividends. However, by Q4, you must sell them. They are not a long-term investment.

For you, from the past 21 days.
>Bearish Market Hour Divergences (Irrespective of Daily Net Gain/Loss): 6/21
>Days in which a Bearish Market Hours Divergence Resulted in Daily Net Loss: 3/6

We have had three straight bearish divergences in a row this week so far. If today holds the pattern of this open, it will be the fourth in a row. One of those bearish divergences between market hours and futures resulted in a complete erasure of the gains made in futures. On any given day that opens and ends of the past two weeks, the selling volume is about 1.4 times higher than the buy volume on a green day. I think the market sentiment is clear, no matter how much is done outside of market hours to improve it.

Nobody cares about firewalls because everything is running on linux which firewall is free and open source (and more powerful than whatever crap those people peddle). Even the windows servers run on VMs on top of linux with network routing through iptables.
As I said, this isn't about the REITs being about useful RE, it's about the fact that nobody's going to pay rent if they don't need to, and indeed they currently don't need to. When the rent waive and mortgage forgiving is cancelled, then they'll pay and have no problem paying, hence the REITs will be some of the better performing ones out there. However, until that time, the clients will just use the facilities without paying if they can help it.

office REIT collection figures so far have been exclusive of the application of any security deposits. Multifamily REITs in the US largely cater to the wealthier, white-collar employees who are holding up much better and working from home vs the class-B guys who cater to hourly wagies. You're actually beginning to see the beginning of the rotation trade into higher beta/recovery stocks and out of the safer industrial/storage/data center plays as people begin to price in the recovery

everyone just wants to be a big faggot bear and it's funny watching them get dicked down daily.

Momentum investors, FOMO, it's priced in, you name it. Much of the improved mood is because of the Fed, which has acted more dramatically than other central banks, buying up assets on an unimagined scale. It is committed to purchasing even more corporate debt, including high-yield “junk” bonds. Eventually the reality will set in and this will correct, but you can make a lot of money riding the momentum of the craziness.
