Accounting question that has to do with precious metals.

So I run a small business selling collectible coin “grab bags,” and this year I’m on track to do about 70k in gross sales but hopefully I can scale past 100k this year. This requires me to buy a LOT of old constitutional silver and gold coins, among other collectibles of course.

Anyway, I’m in college and I really only need about $1200 a month to pay for my rent, utilities, car insurance, groceries, fraternity dues, phone, and live comfortably. But I’m profiting about $2500 a month from this alone.

My idea was to use this excess income to stack more bullion and write it off as me just buying more inventory where I would then just...not send it out and put it in my personal stash.

Would this work? I don’t see how it would be an issue. It’s money I would have anyway.

random thots from my insta for your time

I’ll give you $300,000 for 33 1/3%, and a $50 royalty on each grab bag until I’m paid back $600,000. After that the royalty drops to $10 in perpetuity. Take it or leave it

Local dealers sell me whatever they can’t move for pennies on the dollar.

It’s all valuable stuff numismatically, but the dealers just can’t sell it for whatever reason. Then I buy for their breakeven price and include it in a grab bag.

So, a lot of it is foreign silver. I just bought a Troy pound of 1948 Venezuelan Bolivars, for example. .830 silver coins that are worth something numismatically but probably not something you’d pick out in a store.

Yeah most of them are, I agree. That’s why I started selling them. I make sure every one has the value you’re paying for, do giveaways/lotteries all the time, and include an itemized bill of everything you get and it’s potential resale value.

I got tired of getting shafted and saw a market for an actually good grab bag. So here we are.

Yes. The fooil reacts with the baking soda. Line the pan with foil, put some baking some in it, lay coin on baking soda, pour boiling water in, add a tad more baking soda. Then it it cool, can move it around a bit if u want with silverware or something just be careful not to scratch it. Once the water cools a bit, grab the coin and rub the baking soda/water in a bit. You want some nitrile or latex gloves. After rubbing it I dunk it back in the warm water/mixture then I run it under cool water from the faucet. Can repeat as often as you need

Well for starters I’m not asking you to buy any, nor do I want to dox myself.

One thing I do to guarantee the value myself is send an itemized, colorized bill with every sleeved coin you’re receiving with every grab bag. It keeps me honest and also helps me keep track of my inventory.

each bag has the following, with the “x” representing the number based on price:
> x proof coins
> x graded, slabbed coins
> x silver coins
> x historic US coins
> x historic world coins
> x banknotes(US + world)
> x assorted coins

Now on its own that would sound quite sketchy and vague. However, I’ve developed a somewhat stringent criteria for each category as follows:
>Proof
Self explanatory. Must be in BU condition and come from the mint as a proof coin. I cross reference the year of minting with official records to make sure said coin actually had proofs that year.

>Graded/slabbed coins
This means the coin itself has been graded and slabbed by a top 3 grading company(PCGS/NGC/ANACS - No INB shit)

>Silver coins
It MUST be at least .650 silver. One coin that keeps getting sold in grab bags is the later Mexican Peso, which is only .100 silver and the rest is brass. That won’t be included.

>Historic US coins
This includes any US coin that is no longer in circulation/production, with the exception of wheat cents. It technically includes old US silver, but that would fall under the more exclusive Silver category since it’s 90%. This is where I include pennies, nickels, 2/3 cent pieces, et cetera. And since wheat pennies are so cheap I don’t include them in this category.

>historic world coins
Same as the last definition, but for foreign coins. I set a cut-off date of 1960 for it to count as “historic.” Any modern trash later won’t be included.

>banknotes
Self explanatory. A personal favorite of mine are Silver certificates.

>Assorted coins
Poundage. Anything I find interesting that wouldn’t fit in another category.

So for example - say you have a 1938 Jefferson nickel. It might be old, but it’s the exact same composition as a currently circulating nickel. It’s worth five cents. I’ll never include that in a grab bag.

To take it a step further - a Jefferson war nickel, which is 40% silver and not the same composition of a nickel still in circulation - would fit the criteria for “US historic”, but would fall short of the “silver coin” category due to its low silver content.

Hope all of that makes sense

As promised. Short guide on Dutch currency.

Brief history:

There are three distinct eras that define our national coinage history: Provincial era (1680 - 1806), Napoleon era (1806 - 1813), and Kingdom era (1813 - now).
Before Napoleon, the Netherlands existed as The United Netherlands, consisting of 7 different provinces. Each of these provinces were responsible for minting national currency. These featured a shield with a lion and on the other side Pallas Athena with a bible.
Napoleon standardized our money and put his own face on our coins, instead of Athena.
As soon as our kingdom was independent, our own king was minted on coins, but overall the same or similar standards were used that Napoleon introduced.

Then we had three kings. Willem 1 (1813 - 1840), Willem 2 (1840 - 1849) and Willem 3 (1849 - 1890). Besides their face being minted on coins, each of them introduced small adjustments to our currency to better suit our economy. A Willem coin is significantly more valuable due to historic value, with Willem 1 coins going for 1000s of euros on the market today. Willem 2 and 3 coins are also more expensive than successive coins, but in the order of 10's of euros, far more affordable.
After our kings we had three queens.
Wilhelmina (1890 - 1948), Juliana (1948 - 1980), and Beatrix (1980 - 2013).
Under Wilhelmina, silver money was still standard. Notably, she got crowned at 11 years old, and 4 different coins of her were minted according to her age, from childhood, to adolescence, to adulthood, to aged.
Under Juliana, silver was gradually replaced with nickel, and by the late 60's no more silver coins were produced. From the 70's onward however, silver was reintroduced on commemorative coins, and they were legal tender, and therefor minted in fairly high quantities.

All of the above mentioned generations of coins have resulted in an abundance in Dutch silver coins, with interesting options for stacking as well as collecting. Many sellers offer bags of coins per kilo or a set amount, and some have 100's of kilos of old silver Guldens in stock.

However, only specific coins are interesting for their silver content, due to frequent adjustments to our different coins. For example, our 5c only had 64% silver, but were replaced with nickel before 1900. Therefor I will not list similar cases that are not of monetary interest for people looking to add Dutch silver to their stack. That said, these are our best options:

>50 cent, or 0.5 Gulden
Provincial: 30mm, 5 gram, 91%
Napoleon: 24 mm, 5 gram, 91%
Willem 1: 24mm, 5.4 gram, 89%
Willem 2, 3: 22mm, 5 gram, 94.5%
Wilhelmina (til 1930): 22mm, 5 gram, 72%.

>1 Gulden
Provincial: 30mm, 10.6 gram, 92%
Napoleon: 30mm, 10.5 gram, 91%
Willem 1, 2, 3: 30mm, 10.8 gram, 89%
Wilhelmina: 30mm, 10.8 gram, 72%
Juliana (til 1967): 25mm, 6.5 gram, 72%
Beatrix, 2001: 25mm, 7.1 gram, 92.5%.

>2.5 Gulden, or 'Rijksdaalder'
Willem 1, 2, 3: 38mm, 25 gram, 94.5%
Wilhelmina: 38mm, 25 gram, 72%
Juliana, til 1969: 33mm, 15 gram, 72%

>10 Gulden
Juliana: 38mm, 25 gram, 72%
Beatrix, 1994: 33mm, 15 gram, 72%
Beatrix, 1995 - 1999: 33mm, 15 gram, 80%.

>50 Gulden
Beatrix: 38mm, 25 gram, 92.5%

>Dukaat
Willem 1: 38.5mm, 28.1 gram, 86.8%
Beatrix (1989 - current year): 40mm, 28.25 gram, 87.3%

The coins listed above are especially abundant from Wilhelmina and on. Previous editions have a higher collectable value and be more expensive.
My stacking coins of choice is the 50 Gulden piece, but good options are also the 1 Gulden or the 2.5 Gulden, they will typically be sold by the kilo.

Yeah, because we had silver money all through the 20st century (and still), we have huge amounts of good quality silver coins for low prices, due to introduction of the euro. But these are just leftovers. Ducats are still being minted every year, but they're not financially attractive at all. They're being released in low quantities at jew prices. I have a full set for 30 yuro a piece. I had to.

If you're going to do this form a C-Corp.
Reason being you can sell C-Corp stock after you've owned it for 5 years, with no federal capital gains tax, for up to $10m per shareholder.
So you can stack gold and silver in your c-corp tax free as inventory purchases, then just sell the company in 5 years for the value of the gold and silver. Unless you have more than $10m stacked, which is a high class problem.

It's really the incoming zeitgeist, more and more ppl, even few normans, are getting in PM while the kike economy defiance is now absolute. Even the central bankers, who are the palladins of this talmudic show now are telling everything is crumbling down under our very eyes. I compiled few citations from the ex-heads of central banks from 2018-2020 and it's more bullish for PMs than 99% of the goldbugs here even DARE to imagine. We are the canaries in the coal mine.
Well, to be totally honest the shitcoins stackers were the first telling sign, but sadly for them they bet on the wrong horse, simply because cryptos are not a store of value.
It's a self defense mechanism, we feel it down our guts, this whole clown shitshow is about to implode, it's not a matter of years but months before it happen, and we will be on the top of the pile of ashe with our gold & silver stacks.

I'm now convinced the future will be a mix of old & new economic system : the crypto technology and the real wealth provided by the only millenias old store of value, ie a PM backed 1to1 cryptomoney.
Goldcoin for the big purchases, backed by 600M oz of gold, reevaluated at $20,000 per oz for a $12 Trillions marketcap worldwide.
Silvercoin for the day-to-day purchases, backed by 900M oz of silver, reevaluated at $1,500 per oz for a $1.35 Trillion marketcap worldwide.

The only way for a strong, equitable and solid monetary system, where you can't dilute the value of money, quite the contrary actually, a strong economy will make an even stronger money to back it up.
Restore confidence. Restore faith in humanity.
Gas the kikes.
Gold and silver standard.

If I just bought an ounce of gold every time I had the cash since the year 2000 I would be able to own a house outright by now with no debt and maybe even close to being able to retire. That's fucking crazy, all that time worrying about stocks and high interest bank accounts and yields and whatnot and I could have just done the simplest, bone headed thing and bought an ounce of shiny every now and then without worrying about its short term price movement. I could've bought something methodically and periodically with zero risk of ever going to zero and made out like a bandit in real terms.

Try to get a 'coin bar' if you can instead, it's your average 100oz (or bigger) bar with a coin stamped on it. It's VAT free when you purchase it since it's considered legal tender, and exempt of taxes gains in most countries when you sell it.

Pic related is a ""$50 coin"" 15kg (480oz) bar i recently purchased, VAT free, which would have added an extra 20% to my bill if it wasn't stamped. So this is a pretty big deal.

If you want value from “Benjis”, you can try for a complete collection by date or mint mark (relatively still attainable with a decent amount of money)
If value in the long run is what you seek, I’d recommend going for good ol fashioned Morgans, as certain coins are worth good bucks (~$500 for a rare Morgan vs ~$60 for a rare Benji)

I have to be fucking careful with what I say, but basically a ton of mid tier exploration firms are all fraudulent front companies for organized crime groups in Canada and from China. They buy up garbage mineral claims, explore them taking on massive losses to "investors" who are just members of the same group buying things on credit or prepaid cards. The exploration firm than sells the property to the next company for cash, than folds the first company. I don't know all the details but they launder a huge amount of money this way.

The Hells Angels racket is simple. You go to them to fund a project, they will pay fuel costs, pay for permits through shell companies and provide man power and security in exchange for any and all gold recovered being sold to them. If you check out, than you can make a lot of money working with them. They use this again to launder cash from drugs and people / weapons smuggling. They also used to send men into the gold camps twice a season to buy gold directly from miners at 125% over spot price, I have no idea why they were doing that, but it was always cash.

I am a bit busy but shit goes way deeper.

o man the shit that happens out here would make great TV. Lots of random bullshit fist fights over stolen gear, usual bullshit. Random disappearances / abductions. it very much is still alive and kicking. Every year there are new people appearing on the creeks, usually some young guy and his wife, maybe their kids setting up with a camper with an excavator testing some ground. Lots of very elderly people whos families have held claims for a century, they are almost revered by everyone. And than every year, you get the crew of meth heads who drive around with cutting torches stealing all the random abandoned junk to sell.

Gold brings the best and worst characters.

Because precious metals are a commodity, not a currency. Other than being used in jewelry or art they have industrial use in electronics. They can also be stored and secured physically.

What benefits does crypto have?

It's supposed to be a currency, yet people speculate on the price as if it's a commodity.
New ones are created every day claiming to be "the next Bitcoin" which just means "new pump-and-dump scam".
It can be stolen by malware, of become worthless if there's a fork.
You can't spend it anywhere, and it's difficult to cash out to a fiat currency.

Bitcoin is the most popular, yet there's still no use for it. Buyers of crypto just want other idiots to purchase it so they can cash out.
It's like they're trapped in a Multi-level marketing scam, and some have even been associated with MLM scams.

Seems like americans are the frog in the pot of water that started off warm and will come to a boil. Will be way too late for them to do anything about it by the time they realize how bad shit really is. Maybe not though, maybe all the money printing will carry us past this whole shit show. Nobody really knows, but the most level headed opinions that I've heard about this seem to think that we will have a guaranteed economic recession - but the severity and duration are the unknowns. I've watched a few late 2019 videos where they were projecting a 2020 recession - and that was without corona shut down entire industries for months on end.

So I checked this thread for the keywords “debt”, “paper”, “clock”. I wanted to see how pic related would become the new spot price. So you mean to tell me that there are over $2,500 for every ounce of silver, and that if the spot prices reflected this, my stack of roughly 450 oz would be worth over a million usd? Wouldn’t that just mean that bread would then cost like $150? Please someone explain this.

To find shops that sell Guldens, google "Dutch silver money" and you will see many results that offer kilo bags, and will also take you to shops that specialize in Dutch coins.

Be advised to always google for reviews for a shop. I almost got scammed if I hadn't looked up peoples experiences with a seller in Rotterdam. Quite a lot of fraud goes on in this market.

Dutch speakers can google "Nederlands zilvergeld" and go from there. You should see options for kilo bags right away and if you look in the right places you can buy specific coins in bulk.
I can't recommend a single shop, there's many out there and it comes down to which one has your preference. And for me part of the fun was finding trusted and reliable specialists.

No, you are talking about the supply of dollars to physical silver. Essentially without the fake and gay paper market the real price of silver should reflect an ounce of silver being worth 2500 dollars at current demand.

If paper silver was to collapse and silver to be valued at its actual amount bread would remain the same (barring hyperinflation) that said If there was hyperinflation you could see bread at 150$ but your hourly wage would then be something like 900$ an hour. If we go back to a PM based system the average daily pay would be 1/10 an ounce of silver and bread and other goods would reflect this. Essentially bread is about 1/10 an hour of your average workers wage and will always remain so barring some sort of massive supply shortage.

Hope this helps. I base this purely on autistic conjecture

It will happen anon. Until then stack. I am a stacklet (310oz) and just follow silver.

But if the paper market was destroyed which is likely because it’s essentially a massive Jewish scam as (((banks))) then buy up physical silver while selling paper keeping the price down allowing for more accumulation. It would cause overnight the price of an ounce to be 2,500$ dollars. I wouldn’t doubt if this happened you’d see silver at 10k per ounce. At that point I’d imagine the obvious would even hit the normie sphere that fiat was done for.

Look at what major Jewish financial institutions are doing. They are horsing PM’s; same with nations. Everyone knows this song is about to stop, the problem with America is that it is ran by banks overtly while other nations which are plagued with (((international))) finance are not totally under the control of a small rootless international click and can rule as a homogenous nation with key objectives unlike the mongrelized Jewish run United States.

"German silver" isn't a scam. It is literally the name of the alloy. When sold on eBay it is 100% meant to trick people, but it is also 100% truthful.

Nah, we don't have any native lead ores, just galena and cerussite. The only native metal we have here that looks like silver is silver.

also the exposed surfaces turned black pretty fast once I got the thing home, so I'm pretty sure it's pure.

what determines the value of these things?

here's 1oz of silver in the form of a britannia coin, for £25.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2011-SILVER-BRITANNIA-2-coin-1oz-silver-UNCIRCULATED-ENCAPSULATED/303554069043

here's 1oz of silver in the form of a britannia coin, i.e precisely the same thing with the same weight of metal but which apparently had more of a pedant craft it, for £110.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2019-Britannia-One-Ounce-Silver-Proof-Coin-Boxed-with-COA/373038617562

the value of the metal's weight seems irrelevant to the price. how the hell do you know which of the above coins to buy? and why not just buy a purified splat of silver for the value of the metal's weight as opposed to paying a fortune for the coin's craftmanship - about which surely no sensible person gives a shit? someone explain how these things are valued. lost.

no you hot it backward. it mean right now you are paying the 150$ bread but you dont even know it because all your life you used to pay and get paid in fake currency and gold is real money.

I get it. Not concerned about the price in dollars, rather the purchasing power of the asset. I don’t care what the price of it is, I want to get the most out of what I have. The countries that have tried to end up like pic related. But you're right. The world is tired at being the Dollar's bitch and eventually China, Russia, and/or the EU is going to offer a credible alternative reserve currency.

Yep, but a lot of ppl hoarding paper silver are clueless boomers who ignore this and asked their banker to purchase silver, thinking they have now an edge against inflation. It will be a shock to them the day they try to get their silver once hyperinflation make USD worthless and their banker hand them a bunch of toilet paper with Franklin's head on it instead of metal.
I know because my boomie dad was one of those, blindy trusting his (((banker))) and didn't read the lil lines of the contract. Hopefully i reasoned him in time so he sold his position and purchased a little safe and physical with the money.
