I remember there was a girl in my college class 8 years ago that looked just like her, and she was crushing on me hard, so I had her over, and we made our for an hour, and she offered to suck my cock, but I refused cause I wanted to date her and not rush things. She never spoke to me again after that.

Most of my put sells expire worthless allowing me to pocket the entire premium. If I do get assigned I'll sell calls on it immediately which puts more cash in my hands, and the cycle continues.

no, your loss is limited because stock prices can't go below 0. Obviously you'd close your position out well before that happened, given you didn't write puts on some <$10 stock. If you want to limit your risk further, sell put credit spreads if you're not-bearish when IV is high.

>> No.18889802

>>18889714
You're right, I'm thinking of writing a naked call. To write a put, you basically need to keep the money available to execute it if it is assigned, right? All may be dumb questions so I'm just checking investopedia

Depends on whether the put is sold naked or cash secured. Cash secured puts have no margin requirement (you need the full amount when opening the position). Naked puts have margin requirements which (can?) vary. Check your broker, here's what mine are:

Short Naked Put
Margin
Initial/RegT End of Day Margin Stock Options 1
Put Price + Maximum ((20% 2 * Underlying Price - Out of the Money Amount),
(10% * Strike Price))

Something like a put credit spread (short put @ higher strike & long put @ lower strike) have a margin requirement of the difference of the two strikes - credit received.

You live with your mother. You are a fat fucking fuckup, she's probably so sick of you already. So sick of having to do everything for you all goddamn day, every day, for a grown man who spends all his time on 4chan posting about traps. Just imagine this. She had you, and then she thought you were gonna be a scientist or an astronaut or something grand, and then you became a "that's a man" poster. A pathetic unfunny "that's a man" poster. She probably cries herself to sleep everyday thinking about how bad it is and how she wishes she could just disappear. She can't even try to talk with you because all you say is "you're a man LMAO" You've become a parody of your own self. And that's all you are. This.
I started selling covered calls about a month ago and now I'm hesitant to take any long position on a stock I can't at least buy 100 shares of.
I bought 1000 shares of KOS for 0.93 a piece and then sold 10 Oct 16 20 C for $30 a contract - $300 total.
I made $300 off of a $930 investment instantly. Even if I get assigned I still make (2.50 - 0.93 + 0.30)*1000 = $1870 in profit for a half year investment. Like I am guaranteed to make at least 30% (my $300) and cap my max gains at 201% ($2800 - $930) for a half year investment.

Honestly seems like free money and very little risk. I saw the CEO bought 300,000 shares of KOS for 1.16 in March so I figured I'd be safe buying 1,000 at 0.93. My covered call sale also extends me additional downside protection of $0.30 per share so I don't lose money on this position on less KOS goes below $0.63 - at which point I have enough cash to buy 1000 more shares and lower my cost basis. KOS has a major project with BP that's not set to start until 2023. I'm willing to risk a couple thousand that these guys won't go bankrupt anytime between now and when that project gets started.

I just did my first sale today on MVIS, not sure if it's a great play or not but only did 1 contract to test it out and see the actual process of it all. Sold the contract for $40, when in total I spent $150 on the stock, and if I get called I make .50/share..? This is like free money...

So to be clear anon, say the stock tanks and the premium on my call sold drops significantly, can't I then just buy 1 contract to pull my shares out of reserve?
