I used to work in a currency exchange and I'll tell you objectively why American currency is the worst designed in the entire world

>all the same size and colour which makes visual identification of different denominations more awkward, especially if they are in your wallet

And I know the banknotes in my OP image have a similar font for the denomination on one side actually, but because the design of the federal reserve note is overall quite so very conservative otherwise, the modern font (especially in a bubble like that) looks really out of place and kinda ruins them.

If they went back to the old design, I'd agree American banknotes are pretty kino. I actually even liked the original green and black staid design: it gave American notes a certain sense of gravity and timelessness other notes often don't have.
