You NEVER trade with your full account. You'll learn the hard way that anything can happen in markets, and yes chainlink can get to 6. You can easily lose everything. You better just pray it dips down to your entry. The markets love people like you who go in greedy and stupid and get liquidated. Unfortunately, if someone had told you all of this before you put on your trade, you probably still would have done it. Seems everyone had to learn through pain at some point. I sure learned my lesson, but I only lost 800 dollars starting out (2 months disposable income) and you're talking about losing thousands...

If you survive this, try to remember this situation you got yourself in. My fear is that you survive, maybe even make a small bit of money, which will cause you to learn all the wrong lessons about margin, and then in a future trade you'll lose it all. I don't know about that stop, I'm afraid you might be putting it in a zone where there's a lot of liquidity to be tagged but I also don't know where a good stop loss... Impossible to know what happens next. Spend some time looking at the chart and finding zones where there's strong resistance and rethink your stop. Ask some friends who are GOOD support/resistance traders if you have any.. You don't want to lose 20k but I don't know how. IG your account is.

Always remember a short is a commitment to buy. Half the people here are fudding because they WANT people to open short positions. Shorts cause the price to increase.

Maybe stagger some limit buys of your position on the way down. You won't be able to get out at break even that way but it may help you calm down a little if that's what you need. Worst case now is if your stop gets hit and then price dumps, but that's why entry is everything and TA shows you the entry, not emotional gut feelings that are fueled by all the noise in places like this. I will try to look at the chart myself if I don't fall asleep first

I have secured my initial investment long time ago and I still would have some leftovers if I close at $4.1 so I feel like I could be at peace because all these gains came from buying link at $0.4 anyways.

I think I will start reducing my position marginally if link drops below 3.75

I did this shit in July 2019 was methodical about it and swinged/leveraged my way from 44k link to 120k link, then google dropped and I got caught with my pants down and all I could afford were 55k link, so I took it and sent my 55k stack to my trezor and didn't touch it again, living much more stress free now.
I mean link isn't showing signs of dropping, it might drop and you might gain more money but they might also drop some news out of nowhere and you'll get rekt hard, imagine if wells fargo announced a partnernship and we insta jump to 6$ and you get liquidated. just think about this and weight if you're willing to live your life if this happens, and what are the chances it might happen and if you're ready to gamble with those chances: losing everything if a 1% thing happens vs gaining some more if 99% this thing doesn't happen. 1% is a low chance, but I wouldn't take that bet.

I went all in long on BTC, held happily when it got cut in half on several occasions, people at work laughed in my face and I still held because I know it’s going up long term.

I don’t have that same certainty with link, even though it’s the only altcoin I’d touch. I fucked up recently trying to trade the two, got cocky and greedy. Luckily I only lost 5% of my portfolio but still. You have to learn an emotional lesson. If I do it next time I’ll only risk a small part of my portfolio and set stop losses, consider that money gone forever. Short term trading is fine if you act like an emotionless machine and show the market 100% respect.
