Thanks for the updated pic, this is useful. Tip on its way (attached is tetherbro's address if anyone else wants to tip him).
What are your thoughts on the current situation?

My take: we will keep pumping until halving.
People's expectation of may being a crappy month will be initially disproven but proven 4x on second half of the month. Which is when we might see some deleveraging also in bitcoin.

But prior to the halving I'd say slim chances for a significant drop.
Your thoughts on btc?

bro you seriously don't need to do this

>But prior to the halving I'd say slim chances for a significant drop.
Your thoughts on btc?
halvening is in 7 days, I really don't see a major dump in this time frame
I think it will go sideways maybe retest 8400 at the lowest but no big dump, especially is the print keep coming

Hey Tether bro.

How on earth can they keep this up. One thing you should create and think about and if you can answer this.

If Tether prints X amount. It means X amount of BTC must have been dumped/sold.

The deeper question is. ((someone)) is dumping. How much have they dumped. Use what you have and work out the opposite.

>>18867718
bitfinex own tether and other exchanges are in on this scam so there's 2 possibilities
> pump this market to new high to bait more normie in and make money trough fees
> literally exit scamming by buying BTC/ETH and other coins in USDT pairs and dumping them in fiat pairs

>>18867789
> If Tether prints X amount. It means X amount of BTC must have been dumped/sold.
no they print to buy not the other way around

Why tho did they sell heaps of btc otc for 9k on the previous run (7.8k-9.4k)?
Could have let the price soar higher.

Also in case of a stock market significant and extended drop (which is likely to happen this month) would btc decouple because of tether?

this look like an exit scam

>>18868422
>Also in case of a stock market significant and extended drop (which is likely to happen this month) would BTC decouple because of tether?
stocks won't drop, the FED will not allow it and bitfinex know it, that's why they are pumping the market making BTC look even more bullish than stocks to bait investor
in that case we are going much higher

>> No.18869009

Very interesting. But in case of an exit scam I would say it is in their best interest to make thing go for as long as possible?

more like make it go as long as the market doesn't turn on them ie: when the market stop trusting tether, so yeah it can go a long way
I'm more incline to say that they won't exit scam ( I can't even imagine how someone like CZ would do it, after being a public person for years now ) they are just trying to save their business imho

THX for the tip btw

How is it pumped, that tether has to be exchanged dollar for dollar with fiat before it can be traded. They are minting tether because people are throwing money hand over fist into crypto

>> No.18869512

Building a case. Don’t think they won’t stop it.

“Once you have Tethers, you can trade them, keep them, or use them to pay persons that will accept your Tethers. However, Tethers are not money and are not monetary instruments. They are also not stored value or currency. We do not guarantee any right of redemption or exchange of Tethers by us for money.”

not US based it's a lot more complicated to stop it
think about it counterfeiting money used to mean being in the country to spend it, so you're easy to arrest, these guys are printing fake USD from the other side of the world
it's such a perfect scam

Wouldn’t a loss in faith in Tether or it being closed down start a chain reaction where everybody would dump it in exchanges and liquidity pools, likely pumping Bitcoin like crazy?

And then what? People would sell to other stablecoins? Or for fiat?

And would fiat exchanges be able to cope? Or go offline?

This is a whole fucking mess. It’s like a cancer that pervaded everything...

Opinions on this?r

yes pretty much
pic related is what happen in fall 2018 when the first tether panic happen you can see the USDT pair going almost 1K higher
if tether explode you can expect USDT pairs to fly up to new ATH, then crash right back down

>> No.18870350

That time though, fiat exchanges followed through, maybe not as high. I suspect bots would react to tether being dumped into BTC and push fiat prices up, but then who’d put the fiat to keep up...

Also this was Tether loosing the peg. If Tether is outright made illegal or seized, all centralised exchanges will go offline immediately, and only liquidity pools will be open...

mmm trying to foresee the outcome and how to profit from it, but it’s just too messy...
