First week or so all earnings were "priced in," but as time went on if you watched after hours suddenly more and more stocks have been reacting violently up and down to earning reports. I don't think things were ever priced in, but that we were simply following momentum. Now that momentum is stabilizing to neither up nor down, stocks are reacting to earnings and the slightest triggers since the market doesn't know what to do. tl;dr: tankers don't make money by delivering, they make money by renting out their space. Oil can only be stored on industrial grade land OR industrial sites (tankers count). Room is running out due to oversupply, tankers are renting space to keep oil. They don't need to transport to make money, they just hold the oil on them and make money as if the barrels are tenets living in an apartment.
